Each qualified new personal team member* you add equals 600 contest credits. When the booking is written in your date book, say, “__________,
(hostesses name) in addition to allllll those other fabulous hostess perks I
have in store for you, I’ll have another small surprise for you if I get your
guest list within 24 hrs. Would it be better for me to call you back
tonight or in the morning?”
Wait for her answer…..write this in your datebook.
Soooo important to call back when you’ve scheduled the time.
“__________, great, I’ll talk to you at _______________. (reconfirm the
time.) to get your list of names, addresses and phone #’s. ____________, to help you get the
most from our hostess program, you’ll want to invite at least 15 guests, 20 is better. You know
how it is when you have a baby shower, usually only about 1/3 can attend. As soon as I get
your guest list, I’ll be sending invitations to each guest on your list and I’ll also be calling
them to pre-profile them to make sure I have exactly what I need for their skin type.
Thanks so much and I’ll talk to you on __________.”

With guest list in hand, you’ll want to:
Get those postcard invitations mailed out! Call each guest and introduce yourself. Tell her you’re the consultant who is
doing Susie’s Mary Kay party on ___________. Using the
profile card as your guideline, ask what her skin type is and her skin tone.
(This way, you know exactly what to take.) Then ask, “when you wear color
cosmetics, what colors do you usually like to wear?
I’m putting together these really cute goodie bags for the party and
I’d love to have what you love tucked inside.” Thank her for her time and
tell her you can’t wait to meet her on ______.

Mary Kay’s 4 point recruiting plan
1. Ask the Hostess, “Who’s coming? Who would be good doing what I do? How about YOU?” 2. Tell your I story (2 minutes & heart felt) 4 Components of a Good I-story
1. What did you do before Mary Kay 2. Why you decided to join Mary Kay 3. Describe how your life has changed 4. Tell what you like best and how it has blessed your life
Goal of your I story To help your prospect to see the benefits of joining Mary Kay by sharing your heart felt story. You are answering her “silent” questions (the one’s that she’s thinking, but is afraid to ask) You must be able to say it everywhere you go—at the grocery store, at the PTA meeting, at the ball game, etc...So take a piece of paper and write it out and memorize it! People buy your Look/Image before they buy or book 3. Pick—Select 1-2 @ a party and say to them, “At every party I always select 1 or 2 people who I think would be good doing what I do, and tonight, I’ve selected you! Watch me tonight and see if it’s something that might interest you and we’ll talk later.” 4. Gets a Gift—Offer $50 Product if they recommend someone who joins Mary Kay and places an order.
How to close your Prospective Recruits?
After sharing the marketing plan, and your I story 1. ________(name) If you don’t become a Mary Kay Consultant today, where do you see
yourself 1 year from now? 2. If you were to become a Mary Kay Consultant today, what would improve in one year from
now? 3. What qualities do you have that would make you shine as a Mary Kay Consultant? (help
her by telling her why you selected her) It just takes 2 things to do Mary Kay:
1. A trainable spirit 2. A desire to grow
3. What are the 2 most important reasons for you to become a Mary Kay Consultant today? 4. ________(name) It does sound like you’d be excellent as a Mary Kay Consultant. Is there
any reason why we can’t get your paperwork started right now? The sooner we get your Starter Kit ordered, the sooner you’ll start making money!
If she needs to “think about it”, you can say this…. ________(name) You know that Mary Kay told us that an intelligent woman can make up her mind in 24-48 hours. I’m going to call you tomorrow night for your decision. OK? What time is good for you? If she says no, say—”I totally understand where you are right now. Would you mind if I called you in a few months….just to see if anything has changed in your life?”
OK...now...Once you have a new recruit, what do you do now? 1. Offer to go through her Starter Kit with her 2. Find Ready, Set, Sell brochure, and go through it with her. Help and Guide her to make a decision. 3. Suggest she write down her goals this month—3 months—6 months—1 year 4. Tell her to make a list of 30 people to book and then go back and circle the ones she’d like to have
on her team. 5. Help her complete an ideal weekly plan sheet 6. Invite her to observe your next Skin Care Class/Party 7. Make sure she attends the next sales meeting and her orientation class—tell her what to wear and
what to expect 8. Encourage her to got to Mary Kay In Touch, and look through the Silver Wings Education pages 9. Tell her to order her business cards and set up her personal Mary Kay website & open her business

Class of 2016 - New Independent Sales Directors who debut from Feb. 1 to July 1,
2016, and their Independent Senior Sales Directors will each receive an invitation to the prize party where they will each pick up the following prizes: The Class of 2016 dazzling ring, Chic Vince Camuto handbag and a gorgeous necklace and earrings set.
Independent Senior Sales Directors will each receive the above prizes for 1 new Offspring Sales Director and following prizes when they debut more: 2 offspring Independent Sales Directors during the contest period: Vince Camuto® wallet; 3+ offspring Independent Sales Directors during the contest period: $100 for each additional offspring.
Race for Red - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent Sales Directors who
qualify during this challenge will each receive an invitation to the prize party where they will be awared the prize(s) they qualify for.
All Star Party - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent Sales Directors who
achieve Star Consultant status all four quarters from June 16, 2015, through June 15, 2016, will each receive an invitation to the party area where they will have an opportunity to win an additional year-end prize.
Top Sales Director Trip Mingle - Independent Sales Directors who qualified to attend
the 2016 Top Director Trip to Rome and/or Venice are invited to attend and learn more about this fabulous trip! They also will each receive a special gift.
All Star Luncheon - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent Sales Directors
who achieve Star Consultant status all four quarters from June 16, 2015, through June 15, 2016, with at least $14,400 or more in total year-end contest credit will be invited to this special luncheon. Independent Sales Directors who achieve Star Sales Director status from June 16, 2015, through June 15, 2016, with at least 60 Star Consultants in their unit also will be invited. New Independent Beauty Consultants Exception: Qualify to attend the luncheon if they have been Star Consultants for two consecutive quarters with a minimum of $14,400 in total year-end contest credit.
Royalty Reception - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent Sales Directors
who achieve any of the Courts or Unit Circles plus Go-Give® Award nominees will be invited to attend this special reception.
Special Cadillac® Unit Dining Area—Independent Sales Directors who qualify for
the use of a pink Cadillac® as of June 30, 2016, and their unit members will be invited to dine in a separate dining area during all luncheons.
Queen’s Court of Personal Sales - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent
Sales Directors who achieve at least $40,000 in estimated personal retail production.
Queen’s Court of Sharing - Independent Beauty Consultants and Independent Sales
Directors with at least 24 qualified new personal team members.
Circles of Achievement - Independent Sales Directors with at least $300,000 or more
in estimated unit retail production
Circles of Excellence - Independent Sales Directors with at least $650,000 or more
in estimated unit retail production.
