right in the midst of
your situation. Thanks-
giving is a form of
praise. When we praise
Him, He will raise us
out of our negative
situations. 5) Speak life to death – You
must speak that which
you desire to happen to
the dead situation.
“Whosoever say to the
mountain, be thou re-
moved and be thou cast
into the sea, and shall
not doubt in his heart,
but believe that those
things which he saith
shall come to pass; he
shall have whatsoever
he saith.” 6) Command satan to loose
– You must command
satan to loose your
situation knowing that, “whatever you loose on
earth shall be loosed in
heaven.” I want to encourage you not
to give up. It ain’t over yet. Your
situation can turn around. Jesus
specializes in turning around
stinking situations. Trust him and
He will do it for you.
that you are in, I suggest the
following: 1) Believe God – If you
learn to believe God,
He will do what he
promised in the word.
“All things are possi-
ble to him that be-
lieves.” 2) Expect deliverance –
Victory comes to
those who expect it.
Expectation is the
level before manifesta-
tion. God watches
over His word to
perform it.” You
must be fully per-
suaded that what He
promised, He is able
also to perform. 3) Take away the stone –
The stone represents
the hindrance. Unfor-
giveness, bitterness,
resentment, malice,
selfishness, and fear
are some hindrances
or stones that must
be move out of your
life for victory to
manifest. 4) Give God thanks – You
must give God thanks

Mission of NLWM
NLWM was established to teach
the uncompromising Word of
God and to proclaim the Gospel
of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to
minister by precept and exam-
ple, teaching the body of Christ to
walk in victory and to adopt a
lifestyle that is irreproachable.
Pastor Jerry L. Baldwin
WELCOME NEW BAPTIZED BELIEVERS
Jesus said, Take ye away the stone.
Martha, the sister of him that was
dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this
time he stinketh: for he hath been
dead four days.” John 11:39 (KJV)
There are times in life when
you will face difficult situations.
It may be marriage problems,
financial issues, health issues,
employment issues, relation-
ship issues, legal issues, or
some other issues. It may
appear that God is ignoring
you. Your situation may have
gone from bad to worse and it
seems hopeless and helpless.
You see no way out or over. I
want to encourage you not to
surrender or give up because,
“It ain’t over yet.” If you are to turn around the
difficult or stinking situation

On Saturday, April 3, 2010,
the NLWM Usher Ministry
visited two local nursing
homes, Alpine and Princeton
Place to celebrate the Resur-
rection of Jesus Christ. The
adult and young ushers played
Bingo with the residents and
served them delicious vanilla
and chocolate cake. In addition
to playing Bingo, the conversa-
tions with the residents were priceless! We have a lot of fun
with them and they keep us
laughing. The Usher Ministry is
especially pleased with the
interaction that the young ush-
ers have with the resi-
dents. They enjoy the visits
just as much as the adult ush-
e r s .
Special thanks to Mrs.
Johnnie Warren for lending her
leadership to this project.

MARRIAGE MINISTRY
By Dwight & Rixie Thompson

The Marriage Ministry
theme for the month of April
was entitled “Blended Families
& The Other Child”. Accord-
ing to the Vital Statistics Re-
port about 65% of remarriages
involve children from a prior
marriage and form blended
families. There are an esti-
mated 5.2 million blended fami-
lies in the United States. One
child out of every 18 is a step-
child.
By the world’s definition,
a blended family is any family in
which one or both parents are
not the biological parents of
the children in that family.
Blended families can result
from various circumstances,
such as adoption, remarriage
following divorce or the death
of a spouse.
Pastor Baldwin delivered
a powerful message on the so-
called “blended families”. He
shared that in the kingdom
there is no such thing called
“blended families” or the
“other child”. Families who
are living by God’s principles
see all children in the house-
hold as the” family” and not
blended. No child should be
called “step”, “half”, or the
“other” child. It is very impor-
tant to treat all the children
exactly the same. If you are in a position to
marry someone who has chil-
dren, you must be prepared to
accept their children into the
family and care for them as
your own. Pastor Baldwin
gave us three key ingredients
to be successful in this type of
family situation: 1) The family
must have a good leader 2)
The family must walk in agree-
ment 3) The family must have a
goal.
To reinforce the ingredi-
ents, Ruthie and Joe Evans
shared their testimony in the
form of a skit. The Evans’
strongly stated that they
agreed as a family (including the
children) that no child in their
home would be called or con-
sidered a stepchild. They gave
God praises for their twenty-
two successful years of mar-
riage.
The evening also included
games. Following the games,
couples were served pizza,
salad, brownies and ice cream.
The ministry also welcomed
the soon to be married (June
5th) couple, Simon Flake and
Whitney Brown.
We invite all married
couples to join us every 4th
Sunday at 7:00 P.M.

The Outreach Ministry has
entered the spring of the year
and we are in full bloom. As
the weather gets warmer,
more people are visiting the
Outreach Center. What is it
about spring that brings people
out? Only God knows. But,
no matter how the Lord is
doing it, we want to take full
advantage of all the God giving
opportunities. This year it is
our intent to do more than
what we’ve accomplished last
year. I am seeing new faces
each week coming to the cen-
ter, men and women, looking
for answers. Our aim each
week is to answer their ques-tions by bringing the uncut and
uncompromised word of God
without fail. This will, in return
sustain those who come each
week. But there has to be more
that we can do. Since we are
experiencing warmer weather
the Outreach Ministry’s goal is
to do more evangelism on the
Eastside. This way we will be
able to meet more people in
the area. As people come to
get groceries and clothes, I am
seeing first hand how many are
taking advantage of the oppor-
tunity. I think it is a good thing
that we are providing clothes
and food, but I want to see us
raise the bar. This year we
will challenge all those who
come to Outreach to enjoy the
experience but also give some-thing back. In doing so, this will
ensure that everyone will get in
on the blessings and favor of
God. Also, your efforts will
assist Outreach in our transi-
tion to encouraging more who
receive our services to join us
in experiencing the word of
God at New Living Word Min-
istry each Sunday. I believe the best is yet to
come and look forward to
seeing you on Friday for our
weekly gathering.

To all birth mothers, spiri-
tual mothers, and surrogate
mothers…this one is for you.
On May 9th, you will be nation-
ally recognized for all you do to
keep those trusted to your
care nurtured, comforted, pro-
tected, built up, and supported.
You are our best friends, se-
cret keepers, cheerleaders,
wise counselors, encouragers,
and so much more.
The job of a mother is
never-ending no matter the age
of the offspring. We all feel
childlike when under the tender
watch of whom we call mother,
whether we are one year old,
61 years old, or beyond. And,
not only is your worldly place
special, so is you spiritual place
on this earth. Your position in life deserves honor, so much so
that the scriptures give instruc-
tion as to how we treat you:
“Honor your mother and your
father,” (Deuteronomy 5:16),
“Reject not your mother’s
teaching” (Proverbs 6:20). Your
position is so special that God
references himself as a mother
in the Old Testament stating
“Listen to me, descendants of
Jacob, all you who remain in
Israel. I have cared for you since
you were born. Yes, I carried
you before you were born. I
will be your God throughout
your lifetime, until your hair is
white with age. I made you, and I
will care for you. I will carry you
along and save you.” (Isaiah 46:3
-4) This kind of commitment is
representative of just how
strong a mother’s bond is to her
offspring no matter what stage
they are in life and no matter what their lot is. A godly mother
remains faithful. You have been assigned the
ultimate task…a mother’s love
which is like none other. So, on
Mother’s Day we honor you.
And, we say thank you for carry-
ing every burden, catching every
tear, mending every wound
received from the world, using
your words as elixir for our
souls, and the freely giving the
warmth of your touch that
breathes new life into us.
