A blue LED was installed in the shaft in place of the clock hands. VR4 100K I had a clock of which the clock movement would run about 2 months, but the pendulum would run a year. Instead of discarding it, I thought it would make an unusual display for Charles Wenzel’s New Lightning Detector. Hence this project. The detector will have to be left on all the time, therefore, the largest battery that will fit in the clock will be used. C size was a tight fit. I doubled up on the circle of LEDs-this may be over kill. The antenna needs to be self contained and this clock provided a way to conceal it. The only problem with it is that I still look at it to see what time it is! It’s not a clock. It’s a: Perhaps someone else will add a detector to a clock that works! I plan to. I have an ugly clock stored in the basement. It’s Lightning Detector bait!
