The KM-C850 is far more than just a copier. It is a highly advanced, modular system

with which you can copy, print, scan and fax. All functions integrate state-of-the-art

Multifunctional document management

All Kyocera Mita products are built with long-life components that reduce your replacement and

maintenance costs. You can save a lot of time and money by not having to change the toner so

often. The Kyocera Mita drum will keep going for up to 600,000 images as opposed to 100,000

images with most drums. In fact, the use of long-life components means that Kyocera Mita

products need servicing up to seven times less frequently than other products on the market.

Long-life components

The intuitive wide touch panel is easy to use and designed to save you both

time and hassle for copying, printing and scanning your documents.

Explanations of each function are displayed on the panel, reducing the need

to refer to the manual. The touch-panel can even be customised to adapt to

your precise needs. For instance, one-touch and short-cut keys can be

selected and displayed for frequently used functions – eliminating the need

to browse through extensive menus.

Wide touch panel

To avoid mixing print and copy output, you can direct the

copy output to the optional finisher and print output to the

internal output tray, or vice versa.

Output destination setting

A variety of functions such as proof and hold, private print and job storage are

available with the addition of a hard disk (HD-4), which are known as enhanced

Multiple Printing System (eMPS). These functions are instantly and easily accessible,

and they make printing or copying more flexible and convenient than ever.

• Quick Copy function, for printing a document stored on the hard disk;

• Proof & Hold function, enabling the first copy to be proofread before

printing multiple copies;

• Private Print, a PIN/password controlled print function for confidential or

private documents;

• Virtual Mailboxes, offering each member of your team a convenient,

personalised storage space where document data can be stored and

called up as needed.

Powerful job management functions

Toner consumption can be reduced by approximately 30% in both colour and

monochrome using this mode, ideal for printing drafts or producing trial copies to

ensure your toner lasts even longer.

Ecology mode

With the commitment to seamless connectivity, all Kyocera Mita

products use one common interface. These all in one KX Drivers are

extremely practical for IT managers, as there is significantly less

training and support required. The technologies support multiple

Kyocera Mita devices on any current Windows operating system, as

well as a wide variety of languages and single and double-byte font

driving for different symbols and characters. The new KX Drivers offer

operating consistency, as well as providing a single solution to

increasingly complex printing technologies. Not only IT managers

In addition to the common network interface cards, the KM-C850 also supports

a variety of additional network card functions such as Token Ring, Wireless and

Fibre Optic. The Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) enables you to send print jobs to

a remote printer in a different building or even a different country.

Added network functionality

Transform the KM-C850 into a colour network scanner with up to 15 ppm A4 in colour. Kyocera

Mita’s Document Flow System lets save your scanned documents directly to any folder in your

network, making the scanner function in the KM-C850 a powerful tool for secure, low-cost

archiving. The KM-C850 scan option also enables scan-to-PC, scan-to-e-mail or any TWAIN-

PRESCRIBE IIe/IIc

With the Kyocera Mita page design and control languagePRESCRIBE IIe/IIc, even complex graphics, logos and forms(even multipart forms) can be created independently of thesystem and saved and updated in the print controller. Con-sequently, integration into print files no longer applies.They are only accessed as required and therefore relieve theload on the network.
