Start time at 8:33 a.m. End time at 2:43 p.m.
ü Students should arrive no earlier than 8:15 a.m. for period 1
ü Students are dismissed at 2:43 p.m. after period 8
ü Students transition from class to class throughout the day
ü Lunch / Recreation

ü All students should be dropped off in the A-House circle
ü Please pull forward to allow other parents to enter the loop
ü Do not drop off a child in the passing lane where a child would have to cross moving traffic
ü Please do not drop off at D-House, C-House or B-House

TEAMING
• Students are on a team of two teachers for their four core subject areas: Math, Social Studies, Science and ELA
• English Language Arts (ELA) is a double period block
• Students travel as a class
• Each team has approximately fifty students
• Class size will be approximately 25 students per class

M.A.P. What is M.A.P.?
Middle School Advisory Program
Students meet with a M.A.P. group once each day for about ten minutes. This is a small group of about twelve students from each grade. Students can discuss a wide range of middle school topics and participate in middle school activities.
Extended Map Activities
Once a month MAP groups meet for a full period to work on a culminating activity.

School Supplies
• You will receive a list of the required supplies for fifth grade at the start of the summer.
• This list will be a general list for all fifth grade students.
• There may be a few additional supplies specific to the team your child is on.
One to One Initiative • Pilot program is currently running with two fifth grade
classes.
• If the pilot continues to go well, we plan expand with all fifth and sixth grade students next year.
• Students would use the tablets throughout the school day.
• Students would take the tablets home with them each day.
