“We can make our plans but the final outcome is in the hands of God.” Proverbs 16:1

What joy fills our life when in our seek-ing we have been found by our Lord. Life in har-mony with God’s will is rich beyond measure. That is why Jesus said, “I come to give life abun-dantly”.

Is there discord in the melody of your life? Perhaps you need to rediscover the peace of mind and heart which can only come when life is attuned to God. The commandment has not changed throughout the ages, “Thou shalt wor-ship the Lord thy God”. (Exodus 34:14)

Set your direction to worship God. Plan to bring your praise to sing before the Lord. An-ticipate being stirred by the scriptures and blessed by the Spirit.

Seek to know the transforming power of God’s presence through breaking bread and shar-ing the cup. COME…..WORSHIP!

CROP Report

CROP Walk 2016 is now

in the history books.

New Hope had 7 two-legged and 2 four-

legged walkers! The two-legged walkers were

Lori Lessmann, Ann Kennedy, Christy

Qualls, Andy Lessmann, Austin Turner, Kris

Howell, and Eugene Earsom. Names of the

four-legged walkers were not available at

press time.

NHCC folks can still make contributions

(checks should be made payable to New

Hope with CROP Walk on the "For" line) to

support the Cleveland County CROP Walk

through Sunday, October 30.

We will total up all the contributions and let

you know exactly how much money was

raised by New Hope after the October 30th

closing date.

New Hope’s 2016 CROP Walkers

Remember to bring your Boxtops

for Education, cancelled postage

stamps, and soda can tabs and place

them in the box in the narthex. The

morning CWF group collects the Boxtops for Special Ed-

ucation students, the postage stamps for foreign missions

and the aluminum tabs for Ronald McDonald House.

Here’s a chance to do good with very little effort and it

doesn’t cost a thing!

Serving at Refuge Fellowship

On Monday, November 7th, New Hope will serve

dinner for the Refuge Fellowship Church. This will

be our last time to serve in 2016.

Anthony and the New Hope kids will be doing the

cooking on Sunday afternoon, November 6th, but

much help will be needed on Monday to transport

and serve the meal. Please let Anthony know if

you will help and plan to be at New Hope by

5:30p.m. to load the food and head toward down-

town.

Greetings to Everyone.

On Sunday November 13, 2016 we will be celebrating with our annual Thanksgiving meal to be

served immediately following worship service. The church will be providing the main course which is

the roasted turkey, cornbread dressing with gravy and ham. The rest of the meal will be potluck and

provided by the congregation. Items that will be needed will include: an assortment of vegetables,

casseroles, soups, salads, breads, variety of desserts. Basically, any side item that you feel

would go perfectly with a Thanksgiving meal.

Also, let's take this opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor to share our meal with us. Each of us

should make a phone call and spread the word about our Thanksgiving meal. On Sunday, lets wor-

ship together. Then as a church family, sit down together and thank God for His goodness and the

many blessings we have received this year and for future blessings.

With Special Thanks,

Cherry Duran and Roxanne Walker Fellowship and Recreation Co-Chairs

P.S. Just so we don’t have 12 green bean casseroles and no pumpkin pie, it is requested that you

bring a dish as follows according to the first letter of your last name:

A - F bread or soup

G - L a salad

M - S a veggie side dish

T - Z a dessert
