Style with substance
The curvaceous style of the TS-A range goes beyond
good looks alone. The sloping engine hood is narrow
and profiled to provide good forward visibility.
The integral front work lights offer wide area coverage
where it is needed most. The whole styling package
is also designed to simplify routine maintenance
and make it easier to keep the tractor clean.
NOW EVERYONE CAN ACCESS NEW HOLLAND STYLE AND PERFORMANCE.
2
From the day the first Series TS-A tractors rolled off the production line, this outstanding range
set new standards in the 100 to 140hp(CV) tractor sector. Combining stylish lines with an exceptional
operator environment, TS-A tractors typify New Holland values of outstanding performance and low
whole life operating costs. Now the range has been expanded to include four additional models,
the Delta series. Offered with a low profile version of the outstanding TS-A Horizon™ cab, these
reduced height Delta tractors retain the whisper quiet and spacious working environment but combine
it with a choice of entry level specifications. These can include mechanical draft control, open centre
hydraulics and synchromesh transmissions. The existing TS-A has a standard cab height and
benefits from an enhanced “Plus” specification as standard. Two tractor ranges within Series TS-A
means it is now easier to specify a New Holland tractor that can match specific demands.
New Holland TS-A. Making choice easier.
A livestock and general purpose specification
New Holland offers TS-A in two formats; reduced
height Delta cab and Plus specification. Retaining
the Horizon cab, but with a low profile roof,
TS100A, TS110A and TS115A Delta models bring
New Holland style and sophistication to a sector
of the market traditionally used to more
conservative designs. Also offered with a
specification choice that includes two-wheel
drive, 12x12 Synchro Command™ transmissions
and mechanical draft control, these models
are an ideal match when looking for a general
purpose tractor and can easily be fitted with
a New Holland FL loader.
Arable farmer, contractor
and owner operator specification
Series TS-A Plus tractors are offered with a higher
entry level specification than the Delta models.
The Plus specification can be further enhanced to
include Comfort Ride™ cab suspension, intelligent
Active Electro Command™, Eco 40kph or 50kph
transmission, Terraglide™ front axle suspension
and front hub brakes. The choice is yours.
Advanced integral front linkages and uniquely
designed FL loaders, through to common rail
engines and advanced CCLS load sensing
hydraulic pumps are also available.

NEW HOLLAND HORIZON™ CAB.
YEAR ROUND VISIBILITY, YEAR ROUND PRODUCTIVITY.
4
Whatever the task, good visibility
makes the job easier. The Horizon™
cabs fitted to New Holland Series TS-A
tractors offer the operator the best
possible vision for field or yard work.
Sharing the same basic structure, the
cabs on both TS-A Delta and TS-A Plus
tractors are equally wide, quiet and
comfortable. A full size passenger seat
is available. Exceptional ventilation,
with binnacle mounted vents as
standard, is part of the TS-A package.
When it comes to keeping the screens
clear in winter or the operator cool in
summer, TS-A has it all. Air conditioning
is standard on TS-A Plus models.
Only a New Holland Horizon™
cab gives you a view this good
All Series TS-A tractors are designed
to operate with the New Holland FL
loader range. The cab on all models
incorporates a high visibility roof
panel. When working with a loader,
the operator is able to see a load as
it is raised to its full lift height. This is
combined with good all round visibility
for optimum productivity and safety.
Fully glazed acoustic profile doors
Curved to deflect sound away from the cab
interior and provide exceptional strength,
the fully glazed doors hinge at the rear of the cab.
This does away with a vision obscuring ‘B’ pillar.
Opening wide for obstruction free cab access, the
doors have conveniently located grab handles to
make it a simple task to close them when seated.
5
Design detail for whole
product satisfaction
It is the small details that help demonstrate
the depth of thought that has gone into the
design of the Horizon cab. As an example,
the work lights on Plus models are all
controlled from a simple touch pad. Carefully
positioned, the roof, side and fender mounted
work lights adjust to suit the task in hand.
Comfort Ride and Terraglide for even greater comfort
To further enhance the exceptionally high comfort levels of
Series TS-A Plus tractors, New Holland offers Terraglide™
front axle suspension and Comfort Ride™ cab suspension.
Available individually or together, these suspension systems are
an integral part of the tractors original design. Terraglide, with
the addition of front wheel hub brakes, is standard on all models
specified with a 50kph transmission. (Market conditions apply)

6
As a tractor specialist, New Holland has long recognised the importance of a clear and logical in-cab
control layout. Good ergonomics is a fundamental part of any tractor. Series TS-A sets the highest
standards in its class, with all controls grouped for ease of operation and positioned so that frequently
used items are close together. Whether baling, spraying, ploughing or operating a loader, the most
frequently used controls are positioned so they are just where the operator wants them.
Useful information that is easy to access
Featuring a combination of easy to read analogue
dials and information displays, the comprehensive
instrument panel is simple to understand. Designed
so they do not interupt the uncluttered view over
the front of the tractor, the instruments unobtrusively
provide all the running information required.
A touch panel control on top of the binnacle
is available to provide performance information.
CAB ERGONOMICS.
BRILLIANT ERGONOMICS FOR DAY LONG PRODUCTIVITY.
7
Easy access cab
Eliminating the traditional tractor cab ‘B’
pillar not only improves visibility. It provides
a wider door opening, making it easier to get
in and out of the cab. By combining this
advance with wide cab steps, operators
needing to access the cab repeatedly during
a working day will find Series TS-A tractors
less tiring to use.
Everything at the operator’s fingertips
High specification tractors can have so many controls
and functions that operators can find it difficult to link
a specific lever, button or switch to its specific task.
Not in a Series TS-A cab. Clear labelling and logically
positioning of all controls ensures the operator can
quickly work out how to get the very best from the
tractor. Automated functions are simple to understand.
Routine controls are always within easy reach.
Advanced features without complexity.
First class in all specifications
When designing the cab of Series TS-A tractors,
New Holland placed great importance on getting
the control layout just right. Unlike some cab
designs, however, this focus applies to all
specifications and cab variants.
Where mechanical draft control and mechanical
hydraulics are fitted, the operating systems are as
thoughtfully laid out as they are for TS-A models
with the most advanced electronic systems.
8
New Holland has long offered automated functions on certain tractor models. Operator acceptance of these
functions, however, has always been a priority. For any automated process to be of use, it needs to be simple
to set up, reliable and offer genuine advantages. Working with customers, New Holland has developed
Series TS-A so it can be specified with a range of automated functions that will suit end user demands.
Mechanical draft control models can be specified with the well proven Lift-O-Matic™ system. This enables
an implement to be raised and lowered to pre-set positions using one simple control. Auto PTO is another
simple control that is popular with operators as it couples the rear linkage raise and lower positions
to PTO engagement. Auto PTO is standard on all Series TS-A tractors except those specified with
a Synchro Command™ 12x12 transmission.
Series TS-A Plus models can be specified with more advanced features. These can include the proven
Headland Turn Sequencing system, Terralock™ traction management and a link between the engine and
transmission to optimise gear shifting on Active Electro Command™ transmission equipped tractors.
Automated functions that work with the operator. Typically New Holland.
CONTROLS.
AUTOMATED FUNCTIONS THAT OPERATORS REALLY USE.
CAN-bus, the heart of modern electronics
Proven in New Holland’s high horsepower tractors
and CX combine harvesters, advanced ISO compatible
CAN-bus technology integrates the tractor’s control
microprocessors and manages the internal data
exchange between components such as the engine,
transmission and hydraulics. Although this sounds
complex, the reality is a much simplified wiring
system. This enables features, such as Auto Field
and Headland Turn Sequencing, to operate
extremely efficiently and, above all, reliably.
Terralock™ traction management
Terralock simplifies the way in which 4WD
and differential locks are engaged. If the
operator chooses, the system will manage
both 4WD and differential locking so that they
are disengaged automatically as the tractor
turns at the end of the field. When the tractor
returns to work, Terralock will re-engage both
4WD drive and the differential locks.
Terralock™ traction management is available
on all four-wheel drive TS-A Plus models.
9
TS-A Plus - Headland Turn Sequencing
“Easy learn” Headland Turn Sequencing allows the operator
to pre-program headland functions, such as gear selection,
engine speed, raising the implement and operating electro-
hydraulic remote valves. The system automatically replays
a manually pre-recorded sequence. This simplifies headland
manoeuvring as it can reduce the number of tasks
that need to be carried out during a turn.
This can help cut fatigue and
boost productivity.
TS-A Plus - Active Field Mode
Active Field Mode allows the operator to select
a working speed to suit the application. Once the
throttle position is set, the system is engaged by
pressing the Auto Shift button. The transmission will
then automatically shift ratios inside the field ranges
to maximise work rate for a given engine speed,
throttle setting and load. Automatic shift response
rates can be varied to maintain accurate PTO speeds
required in applications such as baling or spraying.
TS-A Plus - Active Road Mode
Active Road Mode will automatically shift gear ratios
in transport. Starting off with a heavy load is not a
problem, as the transmission will start off in a low
transport ratio when pulling a fully loaded trailer.
It will then auto shift all the way up from 9th to 16th
gear, or 17th on Eco 40kph and Direct 50kph variants.
Of equal importance, the transmission will also down
shift automatically, ensuring the operator retains
full control under varying road conditions.
10
Series TS-A tractors offer both four-
and six-cylinder engines. The result of
a design project costing in excess of
300 million Euro, these engines share
the same key design elements, but
are specified to precisely match the
performance demands placed upon
a given tractor model. As an example,
the unit powering the TS135A Plus,
can develop a class leading maximum
power of 169hp(CV) and a colossal
654Nm of torque at a leisurely
1600rpm. Fitted with four-valves
per cylinder, Common Rail direct fuel
injection and dynamic flow mapping
of intake air and exhaust gasses, this
hugely advanced engine surpasses
Tier II emission standards. If this is
not impressive enough, consider also
fuel consumption as low as a miserly 202g/kWh and service intervals a 600 hours on ordinary
non-synthetic engine oil. All models benefit from advanced engine design. To reduce noise levels,
the timing gears are mounted inside a cast casing with the heavy-duty structural sump reducing
vibration resonance. One word says it all. Outstanding.

NEW HOLLAND ENGINES.
OUTSTANDING ENGINES FOR EVERY APPLICATION.
Tailored to match general use
Standard low profile cab TS100A Delta, TS110A Delta and TS115A Delta
models as well as TS100A Plus and TS115A Plus models are powered by two-
valve per cylinder engines with mechanical fuel injection. Developed to operate
effectively at low operating speeds, such as in loader and yard work, these
engines also deliver excellent in-field performance for brilliant all-round versatility.
Advanced Common Rail technology – more breathing power
To enhance efficiency, Series TS110A Plus, TS125A Plus and TS135A Plus
tractors are fitted with four-valves per cylinder and electronically governed,
high pressure Common Rail fuel injection systems. Engine Power Management
and Engine Speed Management are standard on these models.
11
Engine Power Management - more power for PTO and transport
Engine Power Management automatically enables the rated power output of TS110A Plus, TS125A Plus and
TS135A Plus models to be increased by up to 26hp(CV) for PTO and transport applications.
Engine Speed Management
Engine Speed Management on TS110A
Plus, TS125A Plus and TS135A Plus
tractors enables the operator to
electronically set one or two engine
speeds. The electronic engine
management system will then operate
to automatically maintain these fixed
speeds, adjusting fuelling to suit
changing load. This is of particular
benefit when baling or spraying.
12
TS-A Delta Synchro Command™ transmission
A Synchro Command™ 12x12 speed (24x24 with
creep speeds) transmission is available on low profile
TS100A Delta and TS115A Delta models. This fully
mechanical transmission features a speed matched
manual left hand shuttle. Proven and reliable, Synchro
Command provides an excellent overlap between each
ratio and is ideally suited to tasks as different as general
transport or working a loader. Mechanical draft control
is standard with Synchro Command™ transmission.
Dual Command™ Transmission
Dual Command™ 24x24 (48x48 with
creep speeds) benefits from a clutchless
gear splitter that allows the operator to
reduce the selected speed by 18% and
increase torque at the wheels by 22%.
The forward reverse clutchless
Powershuttle provides a modulated
change between forward and reverse,
with matched speeds.
Electro Command™ Transmission
Electro Command, with Powershuttle, is a semi-powershift transmission.
The operator can select eight speeds via up and down shift buttons on
the control lever. A third button selects the range change. This enables
the operator to select up to eight speeds without using the clutch.
A large display clearly shows which gear has been selected.
The Powershuttle on Electro Command transmissions can be operated in
a “memory” mode. For convenience, the transmission will automatically
remember and use the last forward and last reverse gear selected.
IntelliShift™ transmission management determines the speed at which
the transmission clutch packs engage and release. Under heavy load,
faster shifts are made. Under light load, the clutch packs are modulated
to provide a smoother shift.
As the tractor specialist, New Holland recognises the need
to offer transmission types to suit differing needs.
Series TS-A is no exception, offering three transmission
packages closely matched to all applications.
TRANSMISSION.
A TRANSMISSION MATCH FOR EVERY NEED.
13
Active Electro Command™ Transmission
Active Electro Command™ transmission
uses the patented New Holland torque
sensing system on the flywheel to allow
automatic speed changes to be made
according to engine speed, engine load
and ground speed. The system can be set
to operate in Active Field Mode and Active
Road Mode. Unlike some competitive
systems, Active Electro Command™
transmissions are easy to understand
and set up. Maximising performance
has never been easier.
• Active Field Mode
When Active Field Mode is selected, engine speed, throttle position
and ground speed are constantly monitored and processed.
The transmission will automatically up or down shift the four ratios
within the three working ranges to maximise output. The operator
can set the system so shifts in ratio will help maintain a constant
engine speed for PTO applications such as baling. For draft work,
such as ploughing, the shift pattern is altered to allow the engine
speed to drop, so exploiting the vast torque reserve available.
Active Electro Command Eco 40kph or Direct Drive 50kph
Active Electro Command and Electro Command transmissions
can be specified with an additional 17th forward ratio.
Directly driven from the clutch, bypassing the main gearbox,
this high efficiency gear allows 50kph transport speed
(Market conditions apply). On tractors with electronic
engine management, the 17th speed can be specified to offer
Eco 40kph at reduced engine speed. Tractors specified with
50kph are fitted with Terraglide™ front axle suspension and
front wheel hub brakes.
• Active Road Mode
With a heavy load, the transmission will select gear nine as the
start off gear. It will then automatically up shift through the eight
remaining ratios. To obtain increased engine braking, manual
downshifts are possible. Auto mode remains engaged throughout.
Silver Medal for TS-A Fast Steer™ System
technicalinnovation
2003Fast Steer™ SystemFast Steer™ System
14
Fast Steer™ system does exactly what it says
Perfect for fast headland turns or loading in a confined area,
the unique New Holland Fast Steer™ system is available on
all Series TS-A Plus tractors. Fast Steer enables the operator
to make a full lock to lock turn with minimal steering effort
by simply pressing the inner Fast Steer rim. Automatically
deactivated at speeds above 10kph, Fast Steer dramatically
reduces the time it takes to manoeuvre the tractor, reducing
fatigue and boosting productivity.
Three driven front axle designs are offered on TS-A
tractors; standard, SuperSteer™ and Terraglide™.
The standard axle has a 55 degree turn angle.
This offers a turn radius as low as 4.04m without brakes.
Terraglide™ axles offer the same tight turn radius with
the benefit of suspension. For maximum manoeuvrability,
SuperSteer™ axles reduce the turn radius to 3.76m.
This is ideal for rowcrop work. Front axle brakes
are available on standard and Terraglide™ axles.
Certain TS-A tractors can be specified with 2WD.
AXLES AND TRACTION.
ONLY NEW HOLLAND OFFERS AN AXLE FOR EVERY APPLICATION.
-30%
+157mm +200kg
Terraglide™ suspension for stability and a smoother ride
Offering improved stability and comfort at high transport
speeds, the Terraglide™ front axle suspension system
is well proven. It offers benefits in two main areas.
At transport speeds, Terraglide reduces oscillation and
maintains the tyre contact area with the ground. In the field,
the suspended axle helps cushion the operator from shock
loads, particularly in applications including high speed
cultivation, top dressing and spraying. Tractors specified
with Series FL loaders also benefit from Terraglide.
Terralock™ traction management
Terralock can be set to automatically
manage the engagement and release
of 4WD and the front and rear
differentials. As a turn is made,
Terralock can release the differentials
and disengage 4WD, re-engaging
both as the tractor returns to work.
Terralock works with both trailed
and mounted equipment.
15
SuperSteer™ front axles.
Tight turns are just part of the story
The unique New Holland SuperSteer™
front axle dramatically reduces the turn
radius of the tractor. The front axle
beam turns with the wheels to give
an effective turn angle of 65 degrees.
This is achieved without excessive
castor angle, so reducing tyre wear
and ensuring full traction is available
throughout the turn. SuperSteer
also increases the wheelbase, with
the weight of the front ballast resting
directly on the front axle beam.
Traction is enhanced in certain conditions
without the need for extra ballast.
16
Electro-hydraulic PTO
A dedicated multi-plate wet clutch pack engages drive
to the PTO. An automatic soft start system regulates
PTO clutch pack engagement according to the load,
ensuring a smooth take up of power. All TS-A models
are available with 540, 1000 or 540, 540E and
1000rpm PTO. Ground speed PTO is also available.
Auto PTO linked to the raise and lower switch
Auto PTO is standard on TS-A Plus models (excluding
Synchro Command versions) and can be set to operate
with the mechanical or electronic draft control raise/lower
switches. Drive can be disengaged when an implement
is raised and then re-engaged on lowering.
External PTO controls are also available.
Engineered to fit; front linkage and PTO
Specially designed for Series TS-A, the all new
factory fit Cat II front linkage and PTO system
is fully integrated for a perfect match to the
tractor. The link arm geometry has been designed
to ensure the lift arc can be set to raise front
mounted attachments nearly parallel to the
ground. This will help minimise the angle of the
PTO drive shaft as powered attachments are lifted
out of work. All linkage and PTO controls are
integrated with the cab’s side console.
Linkage position can be pre-programmed into
the HTS system, where applicable. Rated capacity
is 3.7 tonnes.
HYDRAULIC AND PTO.
HYDRAULIC MUSCLE AND PTO FLEXIBILITY.
TS-A Plus models specified with an Electro Command™ transmission feature closed centre
hydraulics (CCLS) as standard. At the heart of the system is a load sensing, variable
displacement piston pump. This delivers enough oil for any task but eliminates the power
losses associated with a traditional system. Up to 113l/min can be produced, with 95l/min
available at a single remote valve. TS-A Delta tractors are equipped with a 63l/min fixed
displacement hydraulic pump. All models benefit from a dedicated 40l/min steering pump.
Regardless of engine speed or hydraulic load, full power to the steering circuit is maintained.
This is of particular benefit on tractors fitted Series FL loaders. Compare the hydraulic
performance. New Holland offers more.
17
Electro-Hydraulic or mechanical remote valves
Series TS-A Plus tractors are available with four
rear and two mid-mount (loader ready) remote
valves, with a choice of electronic or mechanical
controls. All remote valves have flow controls, with
the electronic valves adjustable from the instrument
panel. A timed system, which can record and repeat
a given operator function, is also fitted. Tasks, such
as turning a plough, can be completed by one touch
of the lever using this feature or recorded in the
Headland Turn Sequencer mode. With New Holland,
you always have a choice.
Electronic or mechanical draft control
TS-A Plus tractors can be specified with either the latest
generation of Electronic draft control or with proven
New Holland Flexion Bar™ lower link draft sensing with the
Lift-O-Matic™ system that is standard on TS-A Delta models.
The electronic system is simplicity itself to operate. Draft
control is set by a thumbwheel alongside the position control
slide. A fast raise, lower and pause switch is positioned on
the same quadrant where it is easy to reach. The mechanical
system is equally easy to operate, the Lift-O-Matic switch
enabling the operator to raise and lower the implement to
its pre-set positions using a single toggle control.
Lift and reach to match your needs
Three FL loaders are available for Series TS-A
tractors, 100FL, 120FL and 130FL. With lift
capacities of up to 2652kg to a maximum lift
height of 4084mm, depending upon front tyre
size, these loaders are offered with a choice
of mechanical or hydraulic parallel lift.
18
NEW HOLLAND FL LOADERS.
NEW HOLLAND FL LOADERS. ENGINEERED FOR A PERFECT MATCH.
Specifically designed to take advantage of the structural strength of Series TS-A
tractors, New Holland FL loaders combine robust build and ease of operation
with a rapid coupling and uncoupling system. No matter which model of TS-A
is chosen, there is an FL loader to fit.

Back out to remove, drive in to fit
Fitting and removing an FL loader is simple.
To remove, the operator lowers the loader,
drops the integral self-levelling parking stands,
releases the bracket catches and then detaches
the hydraulics. On firm, even ground the loader
is detached simple by backing the tractor away.
And guess what? Re-fitting the loader is just
a reversal of the same procedure.
We’re talking seconds not minutes.
Proportional loader joystick control
Fully integrated into the cab, the loader joystick
provides full proportional control. Every movement
of the joystick is matched by precise movement
of the loader and its attachment. This makes
it much easier to operate the loader accurately
when handling items on a pallet or stacking bales.
The same applies when using a bucket or grab.
Getting a full and productive load is always easier
with precise controls.
Engineered for strength without bulk
New Holland has developed its FL loaders
with strong but narrow lift arms. These lift
arms, in combination with the slim, curved
TS-A engine hood help ensure the view to
the front of the tractor remains virtually un-
impaired as the loader is raised and lowered.
This makes switching from a yard and
handling machine to a dedicated field
tractor simple, further boosting versatility.
Purpose built FL attachments
General purpose, heavy duty and grain
handling buckets are available to fit FL
loaders, together with muck forks and grabs.
Fitting kits, to enable existing attachments
to be used with the loader, are also available.
