Theresulting turnaround diameter isnearly half that of other tractors ofthis size. You’ll maneuver effortlesslyaround obstacles and make fasterturns at the end of each pass, sincethere’s no need to back up or “swingwide” to make the turn.

How SuperSteer™ worksCut the wheel on a T4030 or T4050

with the SuperSteer axle, and the axlearticulates as it turns. The outsidewheel moves in front of the nose ofthe tractor and the inside wheelmoves away from the tractor frame.This provides more tire clearance anda greater turn angle.

FWD kicks in automaticallyIncluded in the SuperSteer FWD

package is an exclusive Auto FWDsystem. Front wheel drive is engagedwhen needed—automatically—withan electro-hydraulic locking differen-

tial. When slip is detected in the rearwheels, or if the tractor is going up ordown a slope, the front wheels auto-matically engage and stay powereduntil no longer needed, or until youturn them off manually. This systemimproves traction, prevents turf scuff-ing, extends tire life and improvesfuel economy. It’s an extra bonus fornew operators or for fleet use wheremany operators use the same tractor.

Reliable axles and braking on allT4000 modelsT4000 2WD and traditional FWD axles areruggedly constructed, too. All T4000 Seriestractors utilize inboard planetary final drivesto distribute output load from the differentialevenly to the rear axles. The planet gears areoversized and run in oil for high load capacityand extended life. The economical, flexible2WD axle is constructed of high-strengthcomponents and telescopes for a choice ofeight track settings.

Hydraulic self-adjusting and self-equalizingbrakes provide long life and high-perform-ance stopping power on all T4000 models.And, on models with power shuttle, the 40-kph transmission or SuperSteer axle, thefront axle automatically engages when youpress both brakes, effectively providing four-wheel braking—a real plus with heavy loads.

The Auto FWD systemengages front-wheel driveonly when needed to saveturf, tread, driveline wearand fuel.

HOW IT WORKS: The SuperSteer™ axle pivots asit turns, moving the outside wheel in front of thenose of the tractor and the inside wheel away fromthe frame, for more tire clearance and increasing theturn angle to 76 degrees.

sion you choose, you get smooth,quiet shifting with helical cut gears,in-line forward/reverse shuttling,forced lubrication for long life and acompact three-shaft design forimproved ground clearance. Theseheavy-duty transmissions and theentire T4000 driveline are built forheavy-duty work. Years of in-field,on-the-job use has proven their durability.

The easiest forward/reverseshuttlingNo other utility tractors make

shifting from forward to reverse thiseasy. Every model—no matter whichtransmission you choose—has a

dedicated, in-line, synchronized shut-tle lever on the left-hand side, allow-ing you to keep your right hand freefor important things like steering andimplement control. The synchronizedmechanical shuttle lever is located tothe left of the seat and utilizes an 11-inch cerametallic clutch.

Power shuttle available on allmodelsEvery T4000 model can be

equipped with the 16x16 transmissionwith the clutchless, electro-hydraulicpower shuttle. The power shuttlelever is mounted on the left side ofthe steering column so you can oper-ate it with your fingertips while keep-ing your hands on the steering wheel.
