The Great Pumpkin Indoor Trick-or-Treat & Safety Fair

Over 800 families across the county joined United Way of Trumbull County and Kent State University at Trumbull for The Great Pumpkin Indoor Trick-or-Treat & Safety Fair on Saturday, October 28th. Children visited 25 Trumbull County businesses and organizations, trick-or-treating from table to table. In addition, families enjoyed interactive safety stations, rock painting and enchanted Halloween stories that were read by a staff member of the Warren-Trumbull Public Library.

This was the event’s third year and more than tripled its’ number of trick-or-treaters and families. Plans are already underway for next year’s event which will occupy not one, but two connecting buildings located on the Kent campus, allowing for additional space and more vendors.

A special thank you to this year’s sponsors: Arconic, The Great Pumpkin (TITLE) Sponsor; Paige & Byrnes, Inc., this year’s Lumina Pumpkin Sponsor; and our Lil’ Goblin Sponsors; Blue Sky Therapy, Cortland Bank, Girard Manor, Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell LTD, Help Network of Northeast Ohio and Western Reserve Building Trades. A portion of the sponsorship was used to purchase reusable trick-or-treat bags that were provided to the first 500 trick-or-treaters in attendance.
