General instructions & suggestionsGlue parts marked [A] to thin card, such as cereal carton.
Glue parts marked [B] to approx 1mm thick card.Parts marked [C] do not need laminating and should be cut from paper.
If you wish to add greater depth to your model, cut out the doors and windows from wallsbefore sticking to card, and stick them onto slightly larger rectangles of thin card. They canthen be fixed behind the apertures. In some cases there are extra parts that can be overlaid onthe walls.
Colour all raw edges with water colour or felt tipped pens , preferably before assembly.Pierce dotted lines with pin, turn over and score from the back
Glue sides inside of fronts & backs. like this.
1mm card makes for quite a tough and sturdy model. You can strengthen it even more if youwish, by added internal corner braces cut from small triangles of scrap card.
Some parts (where marked) may need trimming to size, depending on the thickness of card used.
Where appropriate and as space allows, extra parts such as signs, different doors or windowsetc, have been included. This means that each model can be used more than once and made upslightly differently.
Printing.
Obviously the better quality paper you print to, plus the ink quality set on your printer, cangreatly affect the final outcome. When sticking the paper to card, try to get good full and evencoverage of glue.
If your printer has the facility to scale the file to the page, DO NOT USE. This will affect thesize of your model and it may well come out larger than intended.
When the model is completed, it is recommended that it be sprayed with Dullcote or similar. This will seal the ink and also harden the model somewhat.
It has given me a lot of pleasure producing these kits. I hope you enjoy them too.
