At 68mm x 68mm, the Advantech RTX (RISC Technology eXtended) form factor is a compact and robust RISC-based Computer-On-Module speci�cation for industrial applications. Since market segments have evolved to demand increased miniaturization from today’s RISC platforms, Advantech RTX addresses the need for a simple, modular approach to industrial PC design, making it easier to bring to market ultra-compact and lightweight devices that o�er comprehensive connectivity options and a rich, �exible feature set.

Advantech RTX form factor is built around ARM’s highly integrated system media processors and features a combination of SD/MMC and LCD interfaces to provide a highly �exible and cost e�ective platform that can be scaled to meet a range of product requirements and feature sets. The ARM processor that powers the Advantech RTX reference design has also been specially adapted for the RTX form factor. Ultra compact versions of ARM’s current processor families will also be available for customized RTX designs.

Advantech's RTX form factor 400-pin de�nition lets customers easily design a suitable carrier board that meets speci�c requirements. The standard solution also allows customers to maintain their existing products without re-designing the whole system.
