1. New Directions 2015 Mobile App

We have launched a New Directions 2015 Conference app powered by Guidebook. All the information you need will be continuously updated on the mobile app. There will be interactive events with audience members using app features during both break times and sessions at the conference. Please make sure you download it on your phone!

Go to App Store / Play Store Type ‘Guidebook’ in the search field Type ‘New Directions 2015’ and join and download the application. the group.

How to get there: From Dongdaemun Station (Seoul Subway Lines #1 & #4, both stop at Dongdaemun St.): Go out of Exit No. 8 and you will find the hotel entrance directly in front of you, or Exit No. 9 is connected to the Lower Ground floor where the Grand Ballroom is located.

Conference Registration Registration will take place in the lower lobby of JW Marriott at the following times: Thursday: 08.30-12:00 Friday: 08.30-12:00

Badges When you register, you will be given your badge, which you will need to wear at all times. This will allow you

to enter the Grand ballroom and help with event security. It will also enable you to identify fellow delegates. Badges will be colour coded as follows:

Conference Speakers Red Conference Participants Blue British Council Staffs Green *** For those attending the dinner (Networking Dinner on 15 October), your dinner invitation (ticket) will be inserted into your speaker/participant badge and you are expected to bring this to the dinner with you. (see page 10) ***

Programme Agenda The programme is available to view on the website (www.britishcouncil.kr/en/new-directions/programme) and will also be in the conference delegate bag which you will receive when you register/ collect your badge.

Breakfast Fresh coffee/tea with croissants will be available at the foyer of the Grand Ballroom between 08.00-09.20 on both days for the general audience to enjoy. * Individual breakfast is available for those staying at JW Marriott with the British Council rate at TAVOLO 24 (2F).

Lunch A buffet lunch will be served in the designated areas both days.

Day 1: Thursday, 12.15-13.15 (60 min) at TAVOLO (2F)

Day 2: Friday, 12.20-13.20 (60 min) at Grand Ballroom (LL1) Wi-Fi There is wireless Internet access throughout the hotel. JW Marriott offers free and unrestricted Wi-Fi access.

Conference Dress Code Smart casual

Speaker/Presenter Information We encourage you to bring your presentation on a USB drive if you have made any changes, which can then be loaded onto the laptop during the break prior to your session. This is very important, since the schedule is strict and we cannot afford to lose any of your session time to load your presentation and deal with any problems that may arise. For breakout sessions, each room is equipped with a laptop and a projector with PowerPoint 2007. Mac compatibility is not available.

Updated ppt data will be checked at the Staff Room (Dongdaemun 2). There will be technical staff to ensure your ppt works smoothly.

Presenters are required to go to the designated area 15 minutes prior to the starting time of their presentation.

Shuttle

We will provide shuttle bus service from JW Marriott/ KY-Heritage to the pre-event venue on the evening of 14 Oct. A coach bus will stop at 18.00 pm (JW Marriott) and 18:20 pm (KY-Heritage) from outside of each hotel. Please make sure that you are waiting in the hotel lobby.
