PORTO, Portugal | April 2019 | Seating designs by Munna and contemporary furniture from Ginger & Jagger return to New York City with a curated exhibition at ICFF from 19 to 22 of May, Javits Center, Booth 2115.

The living space is infused with Munna’s contemporary Art Déco and Mid-Century Modern creations alongside Nature inspired designs by Ginger & Jagger. The new Gran Torino Armchair, by Munna, a monumental chair with generous proportions and undeniable flair, is featured together with the unique Pearl Wall Lamp and the exquisite Fig Tree Console from Ginger & Jagger.

Munna’s chosen colour palette brings out shades of blue, green and off white that go accross the entire living space, where the new Luke Sofa is the centerpiece, alongside the exquisite Meridiano Wood Sideboard, by Ginger & Jagger. The piece, featuring wood marquetry, mirrors the polaritires in Nature, being abstract yet uncomplicated. Inside, the piece is divided between doors and drawers. Munna’s bold dining chairs Daisy and Mary Q are harmonized with Ginger & Jagger’s organic presence and earthy materials — marble, wood venners and metals. Munna’s signature style is disclosed in an inviting installation featuring the bar stools Daisy, Melody and Olympia, dressed in luscious velvets and endearing colours.

The curated exhibition especially conceived for the show in New York, stands out for the combination of contemporary design and handcraft elements imprinted in Munna and Ginger & Jagger creations. The brands are praised by editors and influencers in the contemporary design scene and can be found in showrooms in New York and Miami and in residential, commercial and hospitality projects signed by acclaimed interior designers and architects.

The Meridiano Sideboard is a contemplation on the polarities in Nature. North and south, earth and water, gravity and air, these poles coexist with seemingly impossible harmony. Intricate in design, its top and foundation standing in purposeful equilibrium, the Meridiano emanates magnetic character. The wood marquetry front, top and sides are the framing devices for three large drawers in marquetry and three doors with shelves in lacquer, made to keep objects of cardinal substance to a living space.

Bananas brings to life the banana tree, with its elongated curved shape hosting hand-turned brass leaves. Emerging from a circular marble base, each leaf is connected to separate lighting tubes and features a uniquely chiseled texture, allowing the light to be both reflected and diffused along the surface, culminating in a stand out piece for any living space.
