Health and Life Science (HLS) Re-Roofing Architect: WWCOT Architects Original Contract: $456,169 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $16,383 Contractor: Best Contracting Services, Inc. Revised Contract: $472,552 Contract Start: January 1, 2008 Contract Completion: June 13, 2008 Scope: Comprised of the Health Science Building and the two Life Science Buildings, the Health and Life Science Re-Roofing Project, consists of the removal of an existing built up roof on all three locations, and the construction of a new standing seam metal roof. Status: The Notice of Completion was filed in November. Final close-out of this project will be incorporated into the close-out process of the PHLS renovation project noted below.

Physical, Health, Life Science (PHLS) Renovations

Architect: WWCOT Architects Original Contract: $8,196,500 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $871,357 Contractor: PW Construction, Inc. Revised Contract: $8,196,500 Contract Start: June 16, 2007 Contract Completion: Phase 1: June 18, 2008 Phase 2: August 15, 2008

Scope: Comprised of 22,997 sq. ft., the Physical, Health, and Life Science Project consists of the renovation of five existing buildings. Status: Project is in the close out stage, the contractor is completing DSA close out documents and a punch list. Final inspection and Notice of Completion are expected to be filed in January 2009.

Visual and Performing Arts Complex/Music Building Architect: Hammel, Green & Abrahamson, Inc. Original Contract: $22,145,000 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $214,045 Contractor: ProWest Constructors Revised Contract: $22,168,224 Contract Start: November 2007 Contract Completion: February 13, 2009 - Bldg. B & C- Ceramic Lab/Art Studio Spring 2009 - Bldg. F –Art Complex August 22, 2009 - Bldg. E- Music Building June 7, 2009 Scope: This project is comprised of four buildings—two new buildings and two buildings that will be renovated. The Performing Arts building, the main building, will be a three-story structure. Including an art complex, digital media labs, photo studio, dance studio, and post-production lab, art studio, audio lab, interior design lab, lecture rooms, and faculty offices, this structure will be 46,000

The two existing buildings will be renovated and modernized into a Ceramics lab and Fashion Art studio. Status: At the Performing Arts building, ProWest Constructors are continuing to form and pour concrete walls, and are also fabricating structural steel columns and beams. At the Music building, the concrete walls have been poured, and the installation of structural steel and metal deck have begun. ProWest Constructors have begun finish grading the courtyard area between the existing Ceramics building and Fashion Art studio for concrete.

Physical Education Athletics-New Gymnasium Architect: NTD Architecture Original Contract: $8,543,560 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $0 Contractor: Edge Development, Inc. Revised Contract: $8,543,560 Contract Start: September 29, 2008 Contract Completion: December 23, 2009 Scope: This project consists of a new 22,000 sq. ft. gymnasium. It will include locker rooms and a snack bar. Status: At the New Gymnasium, Edge has continued installing all of their underground piping, which includes storm drain, sewer lines, hot and chilled water and electrical conduit through the month of December. Work on the sewer, storm drain, and fire line at the south side has begun and will be completed by the first of the year. Edge certified the pad in November, but will need to get recertification due to all the underground work and heavy rains. Footing excavations have been postponed due to muddy and wet conditions.

Library Lawn/Fontana Phase II Landscaping Architect: Steve Frenken Landscape Architecture Original Contract: $385,000 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $0 Contractor: Land Forms Landscaping Revised Contract: $385,000 Contract Start: August 20, 2008 Contract Completion: November 25, 2008 Scope: This project consists of landscaping and creating the irrigation system for the Fontana Campus Phase II project and the library lawn area at the Rancho Cucamonga campus. Status: Substantial completion has been achieved at both locations. The 90-day maintenance period began November 25, 2008 and will be completed on February 20, 2009. Land Forms Landscaping will complete the punch list by the end of December.

Campus Center West will be constructed in its place. Select modernization of the Campus Center East will occur as well. Status: This project is DSA approved, and is in the design verification process with the college design standards and college groups, at this time. Swing space plan is in the development stage before the start of construction can commence.

Fontana Phase III-Academic Building Architect: HMC Architects Original Contract: To Be Announced Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: To Be Announced Contractor: To Be Announced Revised Contract: To Be Announced Contract Start: To Be Announced Contract Completion: To Be Announced Scope: Comprised of 30,400 sq ft., this will be a new academic building. Inside the building, there will be four classrooms, two labs with prep rooms, a library, a bookstore, student lounge, dance studio, and administration offices. Status: The parking lot and building have been submitted for DSA approval. We expect approval of the parking lot by late January, with construction to begin by late May. We expect approval of the building by May, with construction to begin in September.

Omnitrans Transit Center Architect: HMC Architects Contract Amount: To Be Announced Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: To Be Announced Contractor: To Be Determined Revised Contract: To Be Announced Contract Start: To Be Determined Contract Completion: To Be Determined Scope: Design and construction of a new transit bus center for the loading and unloading of the Omnitrans buses on the Rancho Cucamonga campus. Status: HMC Architects is revising the site selection options to address access issues with the College Drive and the new Transit Center location. HMC Architects is planning a presentation for the January board meeting.

Status: Project is DSA approved and is in design verification process with the College Design Standards and College Groups. Measure “L” Build Out Future Projects

Physical Science Complex-Roof Replacement Status: Bids were received on December 19, 2008. A recommendation to approve a contract will be submitted to the January board for approval. Construction to begin in late May 2009. Language Arts / Social Science / Business Education – HVAC Project Status: This project is scheduled as an energy project and is in the design development phase with Siemens with construction to begin in summer 2009.

Central Plant Build -Out Status: This project is scheduled as an energy project and is in the design development phase with Siemens with construction to begin in summer 2009.

Physical Science-Northwest Section and Southeast Section Remodel Status: Project is in the design development phase.

Liberal Arts and Letters Status: Awaiting approval of the State funding proposal pending passage of the State Revenue Bond measure.

New Marquee Sign Architect: Hammel, Green & Abrahamson, Inc. Original Contract: $180,000 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $1,500 Contractor: Quiel Bros. Electric Sign Revised Contract: $181,500 Contract Start: December 27, 2007 Contract Completion: June 2008 Scope: Removal and replacement of the existing marquee sign located at the Haven Avenue entrance. The new marquee sign is a double-sided display board constructed of brushed aluminum and baked enamel surfaces. Status: The new marquee sign is complete and is awaiting final DSA certification of the project.

Parking Lot #12/Elevator Architect: GKK Works Original Contract: $1,897,007 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $68,534 Contractor: Edge Development, Inc. Revised Contract: $1,965,541 Contract Start: May 16, 2007 Contract Completion: November 11, 2007 Scope: This project completely re-constructs Parking Lot 12 (Phase 1) including two accessible parking areas, sidewalks, lights and landscaping. An elevator (Phase 2) was also constructed connecting the VSS facility to Parking Lot 12. Status: The new parking lot was completed and re-opened on August 17, 2007. The project is awaiting final DSA certification.
