Allergic dermatitis in cats• Allergic dermatitis is one of the most common reasons for pet owners to take their cats to the vet1.

Atopica for Cats is generally well-tolerated10, 11

Proven safety profile• In field trials, no clinically significant

abnormalities were associated with cyclosporine treatment

• No clinically significant effects on vital organs at up to 5x the dose for 6 months

• There is no evidence of any increased risk of infections during treatment with Atopica for Cats

Reversible side effects• Cats may experience some gastrointestinal signs

such as vomiting, diarrhoea or inappetence

• These are generally mild and transient, and do not require cessation of treatment

• Be FeLV/FIV negative

• Have no neoplasia or history of malignancy

Whether the patient might be exposed to Toxoplasma• Cats with no previous exposure to Toxoplasma gondii may be at risk of developing

clinical toxoplasmosis if they become infected while under treatment with Atopica for Cats

• Pet owners should be advised to minimise potential exposure of seronegative cats to Toxoplasma by keeping cats indoors, avoiding giving them raw meat and not letting them scavenge

• Treatment with Atopica for Cats has been shown not to increase Toxoplasma oocyte shedding, a potential source of zoonotic disease
