Notice: Equifax Data BreachEquifax, one of the 3 major credit bureaus that almost all financial institutions use to gather data for loan

approvals, recently experienced a massive data breach. That means, that millions of people could have personal information that was compromised – including social security numbers and credit card numbers.

It’s important to note: The Class Act network itself has not be affected in any way and debit cards were not directly involved. Therefore, criminals should not have direct access to any savings or checking accounts. However, social security numbers are often used as a way to verify identity so criminals may be able to gain access to even more information. This is why it is important to take the necessary steps to assure that your information is safe. To see if you have been affected by this data breach please visit https://www.equifaxsecurity2017com/am-i-impacted/. If your information is determined to have been affected, Equifax is offering a free subscription to Trusted ID identity theft protection service. We strongly encourage all members to take steps to go to the site and enroll in Trusted ID.

There is more information on security tips and steps you can take to keep your information safe on Class Act’s website at https://www.classact.org/equifax-data-breach/.

Manage your Plastics with MobiMoney!Class Act members now have a convenient way to manage their Class Act debit and credit cards. MobiMoney is just one of Class Act’s many tools to help fight fraud and protect our members’ accounts. Download MobiMoney today from Google Play or the App Store.

Welcome St. Francis School!Class Act is pleased to announce the newest addition to our credit union family - St. Francis School! St. Francis School is s an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school with two campuses. Grades K thru 8 are located in Goshen,

while the high school is located downtown on Broadway. St. Francis School’s faculty and staff are comprised of approximately 100 eduployees, and we are eager to meet and serve them all. Welcome St. Francis School!

Welcome New JCPS Teachers from Puerto Rico!Just before two devastating hurricanes would crash over the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, some of its citizens were becoming part of the Class Act family. Our foundingpartner, JCPS, recently recruited 38 new employees from Puerto Rico for the 2017-2018 school year. Although they did receive a generous relocation package throughJCPS, the money wouldn’t arrive in the hands of the employees until their first paycheck. That’s where Class Act stepped in.

Recruiters from JCPS reached out to Class Act for any help that we could offer. After a short deliberation, Class Act calledthem back and said that we would offer these “eduployees” a $1,000 loan – funds guaranteed - to help carry them over to their first U.S. mainland paycheck. Through this loan, as well as other Class Act products, these newcomers were able to find a place to live, transportation to work, and they made it to their first paycheck! To hear the full story, visit https://www.classact.org/news. Please encourage these new JCPS teachers and make them feel welcome here in our community.

New “mini credit union” at Shelby ElementaryWe are excited to share news of the grand opening of the Shelby Elementary Traditional Academy Star Bucks program with Class Act!

On Thursday, September 7th, we opened the teller lines to Shelby Elementary students so that they could deposit their Star Bucks paychecks. Right now, there are 5 qualified, Shelby Elementary students who have been trained by Class Act staff members as tellers. They know how to make simple transactions like deposits and withdrawals and they even know how to open new accounts!

This branch differs from any of our others, as it takes only Star Bucks rather than U.S. dollars. Students at Shelby can earn these dollars through good behavior,

attendance, and putting forth good effort. Every two weeks they receive a paycheck that they can then deposit at the Class Act Mini Branch. To hear the full story, visit www.classact.org/news.

By joining Class Act Federal Credit Union, you made the smart choice to protect your family’s financial future. Class Act is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by members like you. Because credit unions are not-for-profit and member-owned, they are exempt from federal income taxation. (We do however, pay many other federal, state and local taxes; and the salaries of all Class Act staff members are fully taxed just like any other U.S. citizens.) Unlike for-profit banks, we aren’t concerned with generating ever-larger returns for wealthy stockholders. Our only concerns are promoting financial wellness and providing high-quality services and products to our members at the most affordable rates possible. That’s why we return any gains to you

through lower interest rates on loans and higher dividend rates on savings and even higher rates on certain checking accounts.Powerful political lobbyists for the banking industry continuously press Washington lawmakers to restrict credit unions and to take away their tax exempt status. You, as an owner-member of the credit union have a personal stake in this ongoing battle. If we want to stay strong and protect our families’ financial futures, we have to ensure credit unions stay top-of-mind for lawmakers in Washington, D.C., and state legislatures. Elected officials hear from bank lobbyists all the time. To match them, we must all step up and tell Congress and state lawmakers the credit union story, that credit unions are a consumer’s safest and best option in financial services. Nothing is more powerful to elected officials than when they hear from their constituents. Your voice, as a credit union member, is more effective than any bank lobbyist, period. To that end, you may be receiving periodic updates and opportunities to share your views about credit unions in the months ahead. To learn more, visit www.classact.org/about and select “What is a Credit Union” from the menu.Thank you for being a member of Class Act Federal Credit Union. Take your membership to the next level by helping us fight for the protection of credit unions. As one of 105 million credit union members across the country, your opinion matters. Thank you for supporting your credit union.

To see if you have been affected by this data breach please visit https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com/am-i-impacted/.
