Ellis County ESD #1Since joining FSP, Ellis County ESD #1 received 28 items, includingtwo 2.5 ton trucks, a generator, pressure washer, office supplies,electronics, storage lockers, floor jack, and cleaning and maintenancesupplies. The service charge paid totals $17,504, compared to theoriginal government acquisition cost of $312,852. That's a totalsavings of $295,348 compared to buying brand new!

Jim Morrison, Ellis County ESD #1 Treasurer, provided the followingphotos, and a heartwarming story about the 100KW Diesel Generatorthey received from the Fort Worth Warehouse.

Jim explained that Patrick, a friend and former Maypearl VFDmember, played a vital role in getting their generator in use. Patrickworked for HOLT-CAT for many years, until he had to retire. Patrick'swife called Jim and told him "he needs something to do, he's sitting onthe couch watching Jerry Springer!" Jim called Patrick to come downand help with the generator. This led to getting Patrick's daughter,

and son-in-law, involved in the organization.

Sadly, after playing such a big part in getting the generator running,Patrick lost his battle with cancer. Ellis County ESD #1 wanted to

Patrick lost his battle with cancer. Ellis County ESD #1 wanted tohonor Patrick's hard work, and did so by painting their generator CATyellow with Patrick's name on it. Below you can see the after photo ofthe generator, as well as a photo of Patrick working to get it up andrunning. Jim extended his gratitude to FSP with, "We would not beable to do what we do, without the support we get from you."

you received property from our programrecently, you may be receiving automatedemails from "[email protected]"with Utilization Questionnaire forms thatmust be completed and returned todocument the date an item was put intouse. These emails are not SPAM, and theattachments are safe to open. Please add"[email protected]" to your listof safe or approved senders to ensure youreceive these emails. Keep in mind that allitems must be put into use within one yearof the invoice date. If you wish to cannibalizean item for parts, you must receive prior,written authorization from us. Additionally,you are responsible for ensuring items arestored in a secure location to prevent theftor improper use during the complianceperiod.RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF PROPERTY: Allitems received from our program must beput into use within one year of the invoicedate. Items with an original value less than$5,000 must be used for a minimum of 12months. Items with an original value of$5,000 or more must be used for aminimum of 18 months. SBA 8(a)companies must keep the property for oneyear after graduation from the 8(a) program.During the restriction period, yourorganization may not loan, rent, trade, sell,scrap, or otherwise dispose of the itemwithout prior, written authorization from ourprogram.DONEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE: If youwould like to volunteer to serve on ourDonee Advisory Committee, please contactCourtney Jackson [email protected] or 512-463-9709.
