Learn the RCM3™ language and its importance to maintenance, operations and engineering and their under- standing of equipment operation and maintenance. Be able to evaluate maintenance and operational strate- gies that are technically feasible and worth doing while maximizing safety and environmental compliance. Be prepared to participate in an RCM3™ analysis session as a subject matter expert. Recommended Participants: Prerequisite: Understanding of equipment maintenance and operations Course Materials You Will Receive: 150 page Aladon Risk-based RCM3™ Course Manual by Marius Basson and Theuns Koekemoer (Based on the industry-leading textbook by John Moubray ‘RCM II’, in- cludes the expanded RCM3™ methodology) RCM3™ Operating Context and Case Study RCM3™ Decision Diagram and Risk Matrix Exercises and Solutions (Hidden Failures, Quantifying Risk, Deciding Consequence, etc.) Course Overview: As the business world continues to change and evolve, Industry (4.0) has kept pace with the development of the current 4 th Generation systems, products and approaches. The focus is very much on technological advancements through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Predictive Analytics, Interconnectivity, Defect Elimination, Standardization through adopting International Standards (i.e. ISO 55000 and ISO 31000), Renewables, Disruptive Innovation, Social and Or- ganizational Responsibility and Managing Physical and Economic Risks. RCM3™™ brings maintenance mainstream and aligns with an organization’s physical asset management and risk management strategies by addressing these 4th Generation requirements. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to RCM3™ (Risk-based RCM) and its principles. It is intended for those who are interested in understanding what RCM3™ is and how it can be applied to define risk-based maintenance and reliability programs from a strong technical base. The application of RCM3™ changes the way organizations think about their Operations and Maintenance (OandM). Not only does it challenge the traditional approach to equipment mainte- nance by moving you from a breakdown and repair mentality, it creates a new culture of risk- based asset management. It revolutionizes views about maintenance and how maintenance, operations and engineering should work together to drive asset performance through full asset life-cycle. RCM3™ builds on the very robust RCM2™ methodology with a refreshing new look on how to manage the risks associated with protective devices and how to manage the risks associ- ated with preserving asset functions. The risk-based decision logic optimizes the maintenance program (the safe minimum maintenance needed to preserve asset functions), managing the physical and economic risks while adhering to the world-class ISO 55000 asset management systems standard. This introduction to RCM3™ redefines your understanding of physical and economic risk control. It will completely transform how organizations view the development of maintenance programs as well as their roles and responsibilities in that process. This course applies better industry practic- es by addressing the nine steps of RCM3™ using a real life, case study approach. The partici- pants will explore the techniques required to define a risk-based maintenance program in a logi- cal and structured way that recognizes the risks associated with equipment failures. Course Overview:

As the business world continues to change and evolve, Industry (4.0) has kept pace with the development of the current 4th Generation systems, products and approaches. The focus is very much on technological advancements through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Predictive Analytics, Interconnectivity, Defect Elimination, Standardization through adopting International Standards (i.e. ISO 55000 and ISO 31000), Renewables, Disruptive Innovation, Social and Or-ganizational Responsibility and Managing Physical and Economic Risks.

It revolutionizes views about maintenance and how maintenance, operations and engineering should work together to drive asset performance through full asset life-cycle. RCM3™ builds on the very robust RCM2™ methodology with a refreshing new look on how to manage the risks associated with protective devices and how to manage the risks associ-ated with preserving asset functions.

This course applies better industry practic-es by addressing the nine steps of RCM3™ using a real life, case study approach. The partici-pants will explore the techniques required to define a risk-based maintenance program in a logi-cal and structured way that recognizes the risks associated with equipment failures.
