New Age Traveler is a store that sells outdoor clothing and accessories along with yoga

gear. Someone wanting to go on an adventure may need the correct pair of shoes,

clothing, bags, water bottle, hat, sunglasses, medical kit, flashlight, hammock, tent, and

electronic charger. The store caters to young adults between the ages of 18-26. The

customers are college students or people who have jobs that allow them free time and a

means to enjoy it. They do not spend all of their time working because they are excited to

explore and expand their horizon. The store should provide the essentials for someone

going on a hike, camping, or simply an everyday adventure. New Age Traveler sells

classic yet stylish products. Classic items have been reinvented to cater to the people of

the new age movement. The movement revitalizes traditional practices with a focus on

spirituality and environmentalism. In this case, New Age Traveler sells products that are

environmentally friendly and cater to the customers needs. The customer uses traveling,

exploring and exercising to find spirituality and a peace of mind. The outdoors give one a

sense of freedom. Therefore the products they use should be comfortable and pleasant

which will allow them to appreciate their surroundings. I believe that my store is one of a

kind. It caters to a very specific customer. Therefore I believe it would be a successful

candidate for multichannel retailing. I plan to open a store in Santa Monica, California

once the online store is successful. Although I know many people between the ages of

18-26 who would be very interested in the items sold at New Age Traveler, which is what

inspired me to choose this category, they may not be willing to pay the price of the items.

Residents in California have a different mind set when it comes to how they spend their

money. I hope to sell bigger items such as; bikes, kayaks, fishing equipment and

electronics such as Go Pros once in a brick-and-mortar store. I would have a well-trained

worker who is familiar with the products drive to the destination to pick up the bigger

items in an 18 wheeler truck. The smaller items would be sent to me through the mail. I

would also like to expand my line of tents, clothing and accessories. Many more clothing

items and shoes are necessary in this type of store. I am passionate about introducing

others to unknown brands that make great products. New Age Traveler will have a simple

yet focused vision statement. The vision I have for New Age Traveler is to inspire others

by selling them refreshing and exciting products. All products are guaranteed to fulfill

their purpose in a more successful manner than a competitor. They will be safe and

reliable but most importantly unique. I will expand my store by learning from my

customers and seeking adventures on my own. Together we will strive to be free-spirited

and driven.

The 5 products shown on the website are the Hanger, flannel sleeping bag, power light,

LED headlight, and the one-person tent. The other items available are essentials in each

different department; yoga, hiking, camping, exploring. The rest of the products and their

descriptions will now be listed. The Manduka Pro yoga mat helps to perfect your

practice. Although lightweight the Manduka Pro is 6 mm think to ensure comfort. The

mat is ecofriendly, slip resistant and has a lifetime guarantee. What more could you need?

The colorfully tie dyed yogitoes towel is the perfect companion when practicing yoga.

The ultra absorbent towel can be used on top of your mat to enhance your experience.

backpack have been looking for. The straps are wide enough to keep the backpack straps

A small but essential part of my store is the tent section. There are 3 tents available. The

Flash 2 backpacking tent by Sierra Designs is as compact and lightweight as possible. It

weighs an impressive 4 lbs 12 oz. The tent is dome shaped to add room while also saving

space. The Sierra designs Flash 1 tent is the brother to the Flash 2 tent. The only

difference being that it only holds 1 person. It weighs 2 lbs 9 oz. An even lighter buddy to

Additional tents can be added to hangout between trees with friends. It has four easily

is certainly a must have in this day and age. Although we hope to escape technology and

enjoy our surroundings, there are many reasons to need a charged phone, camera, etc.

The charger is a bit bigger than a cell phone but that wont matter because it has a 600

milliamp battery that is sure to never let you down. It has a rugged design that is perfect

for any terrain and is waterproof on top of that. Last but not least in the Lumberlander

camp blanket. The large, resilient and extremely warm wool and cotton blended blanket
