Admission at Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute, Darjeeling for
session September 2013.
Chagpori Tibetan Medical College is affiliated to the Central
Council of Tibetan Medicine, Dharamsala. Admission is
open for the 7th batch of medical students in 2013. Number of
seats: Twenty seats. Monk, nun, male or female
candidates can apply. Interested candidates who fulfil the
following criteria may apply for admission, together with your
contact address, e-mail and phone number. Application with photo
copies of the following documents should be send by

Eligibility criteria:
1. All Tibetans must submit copies of the first and last page of
the current Green Book.
2. Candidates from the Himalayan region must submit a copy of an
official document issued by the Stategovernment.
3. Minimum qualification Class XII pass. Photo copy of Class X
and Class XII mark sheets to be attached.4. A minimum of 50% marks
in Tibetan and English is required in the Board exam. Applicants
must secure 50%
in the admission test.
5. For monastic candidates and new arrivals from Tibet need
credible documents to prove that they are qualified
enough, which is equivalent to Class XII.
6. Maximum age limit 25 years. A copy of a supporting document
is required.
7. A health certificate from a qualified doctor.8. No objection
certificate if one is an employee of an organization.
9. One recent passport photo.
10. Tuition fee payable by the student will be Rs. 2,500/- per
month. For the remaining costs the Institute will seek
sponsors. Five seats are reserved for deserving students. A
letter from the regional Tibetan Settlement Officer,
BPL card or equivalent is required for this.
11. Candidates appearing for the Board exam can also apply. If
one does not secure the required marks then one
will be disqualified automatically.
12. The decision of the Admission Committee will be final and
binding in all matters concerning admission.

N.B.: - Inadequate or late arrival of application will not be
entertained.
- The result of the entrance examination will be intimidated to
all applicants within 15 days of the test.
- Classes will commence in September 2013.
