Invitation to Our Parish Mission with Mgr. Paul-André Durocher This Sunday evening we will embark on our three-day Parish Mission as part of the Diocese’s support to us over the past year. The topic of The Parish as a Community of Missionary Disciples will begin this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and continue for the next two evenings. The mission will end on Tuesday evening with a liturgy that invites healing and reconciliation in the parish and for each one of us. We encourage everyone to attend these three evenings or as many as possible to fully support the Pastoral initiatives of our Archbishop.

We Reflect on Reconciliation for us and as we head into the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy (Dec. 8, 2015 to Nov. 20, 2016) Dear Brothers and Sisters: Following the recent Assembly of the Synod of Bishops which reflected on the vocation and mission of the family, today we reflect on the importance of the family as the place where we learn the value of forgiveness. Each day, in the words of the Our Father, we ask God to forgive us and to grant us the grace to forgive others. As difficult as forgiveness may be, it is essential for our personal growth, our capacity to acknowledge our failures and to mend broken relationships. It is a virtue we learn first in the family. Forgiveness strengthens families in love and, through them, makes society as a whole more loving and humane. It is a solid rock on which to build our lives and an eloquent sign of our Christian discipleship and obedience to the Father’s will. May the coming Jubilee of Mercy encourage families everywhere to rediscover the power of forgiveness, and enable the great family of the Church to proclaim the power of God’s reconciling love at work in our world. (Pope's General Audience, St. Peter’s Square – November 4, 2015)

Our Annual Church Bazaar – An ‘eventful’ success! The CWG would like to thank all who participated in making the bazaar a great success. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus, Youth Group and other volunteers for helping to set-up the tables on Friday, breaking down on Saturday and sweeping the hall in preparation for Sunday’s event. The volunteers turned total chaos on Friday morning into a lovely, serene setting by Friday afternoon in preparation for Saturday. Much appreciation to all the members of the Guild, of course, who diligently work so hard every year working at the various tables, quilting, knitting, baking and making sandwiches for the Tea Room. Some families turned out to work also, and it was wonderful to see all the “grand daughters” working in the Tea Room. Father Dan was around on Saturday, spurring on the economy, and greeting shoppers. St. Mark’s annual bazaar is one of the major Christmas bazaars in Aylmer with many residents who look forward to it each year. It is truly a St. Mark’s community event!

Raffle prize winners: L Gravelle (Quilt); Sharon Morin (Sweater) and Chantal Lareau (Gift certificate).

Thanks to all for pitching in for the Fall Clean-up Day! Our lovely church grounds are now ready to bed down for the winter after the fall clean-up day last weekend. We had a good crowd helping including 14 members of our Youth Group! Very much appreciated! Nominations for leadership positions on Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and Fabrique wardens Nominations for positions on both the PPC and Fabrique Wardens will close on Tuesday, November 24th with the election date to follow. Nomination forms may be found on the table at the front entrance of the church and submitted to the Parish office. Please take a moment to consider how you might fill these two roles which are as follows: Parish Pastoral Council (PPC): To deepen the parish's vision of Church by considering the need for evangelization, recognizing the four areas of church life to ensure that parish actions are balanced and concrete; to understand and make known the needs of the Christian community; to evaluate pastoral activities and communicate the results to the parish; to propose pastoral orientations to the parish and encourage their implementation on short-, mid- or longer-term bases. Fabrique Wardens: To develop financial and administrative plans and controls that will assist in the realization of parish pastoral priorities as well as the essential administrative and maintenance requirements of the parish. Musicians needed for Christmas Eve Mass Please spread the word that the Music Ministry is looking for a flute player and cellist for the Christmas Eve 7:00 p.m. mass. Interested persons may contact Chris Santillán at (819) 661-4247.

St. Mark’s Christmas Eve Youth Choir We are looking to organize a youth choir to sing at the 5pm Christmas Eve Mass and would invite children between the ages of 8 to 13 years to participate. Practices will begin Monday evening, November 16th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Church Hall. For more information, please contact Sandy Barba at (613) 203-2323 or Lauren Shattler at (819) 962-4856.
