    Part A: Hybrid Re-Opening Plan

    Scheduling

    ● Fresh air breaks built into schedule (mask fatigue syndrome) ● Daily SEL check in each morning and SEL check out at dismissal ● Lunches in classrooms - food handed to students; No buffet style ● Staggered hall transitions (in day schedule & dismissal) ● Built in transition times by shortening classes / specials by 5-10 minutes ● Limited playground availability - stagger usage schedule ● SPED scheduling needs addressed. ● ESL scheduling needs addressed. ● Staggered Dismissal ● Three sections offered in grade spans K-6. Each grade level has one all digital section (C

sections). A&B sections are hybrid sections. Each hybrid section A&B will have student rosters split into A&B cohorts. A cohorts receive live instruction on Mondays and Tuesdays while the B cohorts are synced online. Wednesdays is online instruction schoolwide for all cohorts, as school receives deep cleaning. Thursdays and Fridays the B cohorts report to school while the A cohorts are synced to live lesson online.

Emergency Reversal to All Online Learning

    ● If PAC needs to revert back to all digital learning, we are prepared to follow the School Health Related Closure Plan dated 5-22-20. A copy is submitted along with this plan.

    4 Dayers “Physicals” Hybrids Digitals

    17% 30% 53%

As of 7/31/20, 328 parent responses have been collected.

    Parent Survey Results Summary:

    ● Due to work/child care circumstances, 17% of our families require students to be in school every day. PAC can only accommodate 4 physical report days per week. We refer to this group as the 4 Dayers or “Physicals.” They belong to both the A&B hybrid cohorts.

    ● 30% of our parents requested hybrid instruction. These students will be placed evenly in either an A or B cohort.

    ● 53% of our parents requested 5 day online instruction. ● Hybrids and 4 dayers added into one pool of students per grade level and evenly divided

between Cohorts A&B. ● Cohort C is strictly online. ● Class sections capped at 24 students for Cohorts A&B. Online Cohort C sections capped at 35

students. ● Teachers in A/B Cohorts conduct concurrent/synchronous instruction (teaching students live &

online). A paraprofessional or FSS Team member will be assigned to each hybrid teacher to help manage synchronous instruction. Teachers own the students in their cohorts.

    ● No subject switching. Teachers in grades K-6 will teach all core subjects. (Shared lesson plans as a scaffold for teachers--share Google docs LP all faculty)

    ● Pacing guides and assessment schedule across each grade level will be strictly followed by every section A,B,C in every grade level. Exactly same concepts will be taught at the same time. PAC anticipates movement of students from A,B,& C cohorts during the first weeks of the reopening due to changing circumstances with our families.

    Remote and Hybrid Instructional Methods

Synchronous learning is designed for both in-person and remote learning when a certified teacher is directing and/or facilitating the lesson in real time. Asynchronous learning is when a certified teacher engages students in learning activities absent the presence of the teacher and followed up by teacher feedback and assessment. PAC utilizes synchronous instruction for both its hybrid and remote instructional plans. SEL Community Circle

    ● Students self-rate emotional state daily using a scale from 1-5. ● Daily 20 minute SEL period built into arrivals. This is SEL Check-In. A daily 10 minute SEL Check-

out is also available before dismissal as well. ● Strategies & Interventions:

    ○ Buddy System ○ Counselor ○ Climate and Culture team on site ○ Fresh air breaks for all ○ Mindfulness Activities (frequent) ○ Check In / Check Out for Tier 3 behaviors and emotions ○ Journaling ○ Movement Breaks (frequent)

    Parent / Guardian Accountability

    ● Parents must fill out a fall reopening survey by August 14th, 2020. This takes the place of a cohort declaration sign off page. PAC employees assist parents with the completion of the survey.

    ● Parents will receive informational flyer from PAC on how to check their children for COVID-19 symptoms at home.

    ● Parents will complete home screening sign off page prior to the start of school. This certifies that they will use due diligence to check their children daily before they report to the school facility (hybrid parents only). This also requires parents/guardians to report any exposure to COVID-19 in their household to be reported to the school immediately and commit to the quarantine and reintegration protocols.

    ● Parents will receive their child’s schedule the week of August 17th. Survey Question Results

Online Cohort C sections capped at 35

students. ● Teachers in A/B/C Cohorts conduct concurrent/synchronous instruction (teaching students live

to students online via their school or home based classrooms).
