Abstract: La crittografia quantistica consiste in un approccio alla crittografia che sfrutta
proprietà peculiari della meccanica quantistica al fine di ottenere "unconditional security"
sullo scambio di chiavi private. Questa particolare applicazione va sotto il nome di "Quantum
Key Distribution". Sul mercato diverse aziende come MagicQ Tehc, ID Quantique,
QuintessenceLabs and SeQureNet forniscono già implementazioni pratiche della "Quantum
Key Distribution". Il nostro obiettivo è quello di fornire una review dello stato dell'arte della
crittografia quantistica e interrogarci criticamente sulle prospettive, i limiti attuali e la
possibile applicabilità di questa tecnologia all'interno dell'offering IBM.
