NEVADA 2013NV001 369 A Reno (A258-259) National Automobile
Museum displays more than 200 antique, vintage,classic, and
special-interest automobiles. Facility offers interactive exhibits,
multimedia theater presentation, antiqueclothing, and an automobile
research library. $8 admission.NV002 370 A Virginia City (A261)
Much has been done to restore Virginia City to its 1870
boomtownappearance.
Museums Many small museums along C Street preserve the citys
illustrious past, including the NevadaGambling Museum, The Way It
Was Museum and Ponderosa Mine, which offers underground mine
toursevery 20 minutes.
The Castle An 1868 structure that reflects the prosperity of
mining towns. Guided tours are given daily11AM-5PM. Fee is $5.
Chollar Mineis an 1861 Comstock gold and silver mine with
original square-set timbering. $6 admission. Mackay Mansion (A262)
A 10-room, 1860 building that served as the original headquarters
of the Gould &
Curry Mine Co.; $4 admission. Virginia & Truckee Railroad
departs from Washington and F Street, and is a partially restored
standard
gauge railroad, and operates a narrated 35-minute round-trip
steam train ride between Virginia City and GoldHill. All-day pas =

Goldwell Open Air Museum, just outside Rhyolite, NV, is a
spectacular ghost townoff the road leading to Death Valley. Several
Belgian artists created LARGE sculptures (some over 25 feet tall)
andplaced them in this desert location. Some have been damaged by
