Inductive ring andtube sensors.
Static sensors operate like inductive proximity sensors.They generate an output signal as long as there is metalin the detection zone. So, feed processes for example withfalling screws or jam monitoring can be implemented.Dynamic sensors are used when particularly small partsare to be detected. During a damping operation a shortpulse is generated at the output of the sensor, adjustablefrom 0.1 to 150 ms. The high resolution is maintainedfor a long time even in case of metal contamination onthe tube.

Precise position detection forinstrumentation.
ApplicationsApplications for slot sensors can be found on measur-ing devices or instruments for metering pressures and flowrates. The sensors can be installed individually and ensurewear-free and non-contact switching. The sensor targetcan be made of different materials.
Typical applications:In a meter the sensor detects slots in a disc. In a vane-typeflow meter the pointer counterweight position is detectedby slot sensors.
VersionsThe new inductive slot sensors are approved for Cat-egory 1 ATEX gas and dust areas. The sensors can beoperated outside ATEX areas with 24 V.

Faults such as coil break or coil shortcircuit are diagnosed and the sensor passes into the de-fined safe state. Even a cross fault between the supplyvoltage and one of the two outputs does not affect thesafety function of the sensor.

Easy installationThe units have a T-slot on the back for very easy installa-tion. Angle brackets are enclosed with all units. The resolution is ensured also for installation in L or Tshape. Given the short distance from the first light beam,the units can be installed without dead band on one side.
Easy wiringThe units are configured via the pin connection of the 5-or 8-pin M12 connector. To do so, you need no PC or soft-ware. Functions such as EDM (External Device Monitoring),restart or external muting (safety relay G2001S) can beimplemented.

pmd 3d cameraThe pmd 3d camera detects scenes and objects at aglance. PMD stands for Photonic Mixer Device and isthe basis of the on-chip time-of-flight measurementmethod. Measuring principleThe ultrasonic flow rate sensor of type SU operatesaccording to the transit time difference principle.Two sound transducers are positioned in a defined pipelength. These sound transducers alternately emit soundpulses. The pulse trains emitted with the flow in the pipelength are transported faster to the receiver by the flow-ing medium. This transit time difference results in thecurrent volumetric flow quantity.
High functionalityIn addition to simple flow rate monitoring the SU alsomonitors the temperature of the medium. It is displayedon the unit and provided for signal processing. The sys-tem is particularly suited for monitoring cooling circuits.

PQ pressure sensor – for pneumatic applicationsThe new pressure sensors of the PQ series are based on apiezoresistive measuring element and are distinguished byan extremely compact housing and a wide range of pos-sible applications. The units precisely measure the pressurein the negative pressure and overpressure range in pneu-matic applications. The silicon measuring cell is insensitiveto liquids (e.g. condensed water) and deposits that mightoccur in the system.
Technical detailsThe silicon measuring cell used guarantees a high overloadresistance as well as an accuracy of ± 0.5 %. The sensorcan be programmed using two pushbuttons. The two-colour, four-digit display makes the system pressure visiblefrom a distance in normal operation.

If you, however,prefer sealing by means of an O-ring, you can use thesame adapter. In this case, the flexible disk spring en-sures reliable. The sealing between the housing and theprocess connection ensures that the sensor can also bescrewed into the standard G 1 A thread sleeves usingthe common sealing technology.Various process adapters (clamp, DIN11851 pipe fitting,etc.) are available as accessories.

• ParametersDuring set-up, sensors are fine-adjusted and switchpoints are set. These parameters can be saved in thesystem.If necessary, these parameters are returned to the sen-sors. This ensures error-free documentation and shortdowntimes.
• Exact data transmissionIO-Link and AS-i transfer analogue values in a digitalisedmanner, i.e. without conversion losses. Distorted sig-nals by electromagnetic interference or contact resis-tances are excluded.
• DiagnosisStatus LEDs indicate important AS-i and IO-Link oper-ating states. IO-Link devices transmit additional infor-mation via the standard M12 sensor cable. Exceedingthe operating temperature or measuring range, forexample, is reliably detected. Diagnostic informationcan be transmitted up to the control level. Additionalwiring is not necessary.
• AS-i connection technologyThe AS-i module provides a simple connection techno-logy for data and energy:The yellow flat cable can be inserted from three differ-ent directions. A slide locks upper part and lower part.Quick and secure installation are guaranteed.
ApplicationIO-Link devices are used where a high-precision exchangeof data and high plant uptime are required. Parameterscan be managed and saved centrally. This minimisescomplex parameter setting and shortens machine set-up times.

The easy mounting of the AS-i modules onto the AS-iflat cable using the new quick mounting technologyprovides maximum security for the user.Slide valve technology, increased pressure peak resis-tance, new valve functions and extended addressingmode are the major new features of the AirBoxes.
• DecentralisationConventional parallel wiring means: many terminals,high wiring complexity and complicated maintenance.Using the yellow AS-i cable ensures that the I /O pointsin the installation can be reached via the shortestdistance. Installation complexity and maintenance arereduced to a minimum.In silo applications the transfer and withdrawal com-partments for transporting the bulk material are evenlydistributed across the installation.Here flap positions are detected, slide positions aresignalled or compartments are actively opened or closed.These tasks can easily be solved by means of the AS-iI /O modules or AirBoxes. The modules provide up to 4inputs and 4 outputs.The AirBoxes connecting an AS-i input module and apneumatic valve are available as 2 x 3 /2-way valve oras 1 x 5 /2-way valve in monostable or bistable design.
