Network Awards -- E. Paul Torrance Award The purpose of the Creativity Network's E. Paul Torrance Award is to acknowledge and reward significant contributions of individuals and groups whose work facilitates the enhancement and spread of creativity, especially among gifted children, and who are themselves creative thinkers. The award carries the name of the man who probably more than any other individual has promoted the values and behavior the Creativity Network wishes to honor.

Selection GuidelinesWho may nominate • Any member of the Creativity Network may nominate any individual or group for the award.• The nominator does not have to know the nominee personally, but must secure the permission of the

nominee to propose his or her name for the award.

Who may be nominated • Any individual or group fitting the criteria may be nominated.• The nominee need not be a member of NAGC.• A person who has been previously nominated for the award but did not win it may be re-nominated.

Submission Guidelines • A brief statement of support expressing the nominee's qualifications for receiving the E. Paul

Torrance Award must accompany each nomination (200 words or less)• Name of the nominee and the contact address, phone number, and email address• Name of the nominator with the contact address, phone number, and email addressConfirmation of your submission will be sent via email.

Voting Guidelines Only current members of the NAGC Creativity Network may vote for the winner of the award. Individuals will be required to log in with their NAGC membership number in order to vote.

Announcement of the Winner The winner will be announced at the award presentation at Creativity Night during NAGC's Annual Convention in November 2021. In the event that the recipient cannot attend the event, a representative will be selected to receive the award on behalf of the recipient.
