CEO’s Diaryneotericians... 2012 reminds of 2008 global turmoil times...similar or lesser GDP growth rate, Europe impacted, China slowing down impacting countries dependent on China's consumption. Possibly to my mind the scenario in 2008 was better as a whole as against

current especially for India. This calls for us being cautious for some of our business decisions; we need to be more agile, market savvy, and close to the customer. Need to ensure we are most productive and efficient which is a sure improvement area of neoteric.

While we talk about current or future, let's review JFM last Q. It was a decent come back from one of the most challenging quarters of the industry thanks to HDD shortage and impact of dollar, we ended with quite a few wins. Acer, full line up of Logitech products, Lenovo consumer going national, Lenovo think B series, Apple iPad, Acer Intel notebook, Lenovo AMD exclusive, LG LED projectors; these would add significantly towards the inorganic profitable growth. With the wins we also saw a few misses; Samsung printer business, MSI notebook and motherboards and Imation.

Starting April at neoteric we are all poised for a 35% profitable growth; Transforward being the first step in March where, with the Leadership team we set the tone for direction and the way forth. The focus would be on vertical-wise solutions and services to create end-to-end value adds from neoteric, therefore making us the partner of first choice.

PC components and peripherals being our core, despite challenges we would want it to be more profitable, move towards Value added approach. PC computing Biz Unit (BU) comprising consumer and commercial sub BU is becoming a strong and the largest BU in the org. Creative BU strengthened by building strong consumer 3rd party offerings and competency on EDU and post-production solutioning. AV would become the key thrust area for us this year including development of vertical-based solution for iPad. CTS, with the help of strong competency has been playing a true role of VAD with end- to- end value adds. Need everyone's full attention in building a success.

All the above BU would strengthen complete products offerings in the segment and more towards building strong post-sales service business along with trainings. Also, the last few months we have been working on reinventing vertical wise GTM which would be more customer-oriented.

Few accolades worth cheering - we were recognized by Logitech as ' fastest growing distributor' in South East Asia, BenQ awarded neoteric with Excellence award which is the highest category award, Wacom recognized us as one of the fastest growing Distributors in APAC in last 5 years, NEC awarded India as one of the best performers in APAC. Indian economy is not in best of the conditions as mentioned earlier and we need to be cautious in our overall plans, need to invest where we see the right future and rewards and move out of areas with some tough decisions. Let's all be on top of business, smell opportunities and threats and quickly react.

This is the time and time is now ...to truly add value to the organization and industry...let's be focused and put all efforts to turnaround business for the current month and months to come.
