To obtain a challenging position that allows me to utilize the diverse technical skills I have acquired. I am a strong believer in collaborative design and have participated as a team member, or team leader for numerous Architecture classes, competitions, and built design pieces. My influences draw from a background in anthropology, as well as a general interest in cultural interaction, digital fabrication and design. I believe that interaction is a key factor in the design and creation of the built environment. I hope to one day utilize all of these aspects to gain experience in my chosen field in order to eventually receive an architecture license.

This project named Cultivating Medicinal Landscapes is a conceptual exploration of how public parks can come to serve a purpose for both the Community as well as Industry. the project set in an industrial corridor of Las Angeles is the fault line between Chinatown and the Industrial section of the city. Located next to one of the largest parks in the city the site hopes to teach the community the importance of horticulture through the creation of a multi-ecological research lab, community event space, and park.

This project takes place along the newly developed ecological boulevard in the 13th arrondissement along the Seine river. The area is a reclaimed industrial area which is being developed into a modern “green” design district. As such the history of it’s location and the goal of its future development is a rather interesting contradiction. Thus this project was created with an understanding of that basis. The industrial incubator was designed to be a community based on the evolution and further development of ecological science and design. The community would flow through the site and be able to learn, experience and become a part of the ecology of the city they inhabit.

The Byzantine Revival is a project based in Houston Texas. The Menil Campus is a community based art collection and exhibition in the heart of Houston. As such the campus is intimately connected to both a school, residential community, and museum. This project was designed as an adaptive reuse project focusing on the Byzantine Chapel which is currently unoccupied and was created by a Menil family member. Instead of taking away the intimacy of the neighborhood this project chose to utilize the existing facility to create an auditorium for the community, visiting artists, and professionals.

This Project is an exploration of Fluid dynamics, and how it can be integrated into a site to create a sinuous, multi-level, transversable space. Utilizing the previous site mapping studies, the design was centered on the expansion, connection and interconnectivity on both Main Street, and the Dallas underground network. Furthermore by creating a flexible shading system, spaces like these can be operable year round, and bring life back to the ground level, while still maintaining the underground network, and hubs.

X-Domos is the 2013 installment of the yearly ASU X-Square competition piece. Offered to the winners of design excellence each group created their own design team and complete a full set of construction drawings. Once their design is chosen they must construct it within the given budget for the year. This project was designed to provide shade year-round and be able to change to adapt to a multiplicity of uses. Furthermore the extrusions create both public and private spaces within the geodesic dome shape.
