Neil was born on August 5, 1930. When he was 6 years old, he and his Dad skipped church and Neil took his first plane ride. From that day on, he wanted to become a pilot like his dad.

He earned his pilot license on August 5 like he had dreamed about. It was on his 16th birthday. He earned it before he even got his drivers license.

Apollo 11 blasted off for the moon on July 16th 1969. Michael and Buzz were Neil's partners. Apollo 11 was important because that was the first time anyone walked on the moon.

Armstrong stepped on the moon on July 20 but he could have been the 3rd or 2nd person to step on the moon but he was the first person to get out.

Neil Armstrong began teaching at the university of Cincinnati in Ohio. The new job wasnt perfect. At first excited students stood on each others shoulders to peer into Neil's office window. He didnt like it because everyone was crowding him and spying on him from the window.

Now Neil's life is pretty good because he has been hanging out with his wife and his partners Michael and Buzz. Neil and Buzz and Michael will probably remember that time.
