Cheerios Christmas Trees

Program Partner - NAACP

These cute little Christmas trees are great to make with kids, and they love to

decorate them!

From www.kidspot.com

Ingredients:

• 3 cups marshmallows• 3 tbsp butter• Green food coloring• 3 cups Cheerios• Mini M&M’s (just the red and green ones)• Canola spray• Baking paper

Instructions:

1. In bowl, place the marshmallows and butter together in the microwave on high for 40 seconds. Mix well with spoon.

2. Add green food coloring until you have the color you want.

3. Pour Cheerios into the marshmallow mix and stir well to coat. Leave to cool until the mixture becomes tacky.

4. Cover a tray with baking paper. Spray your hands with canola spray and shape the Cheerios mixture into cones and place on tray

5. Remove and decorate with red and green M&M’s.

6. Place in freezer for 20 minutes to firm up.

Tip: A light dusting of sugar will make it look like you have snow on your trees.
