If you are moving to Virginia from another state, it is suggested that you obtain professional legal opinion on the validity of your wills, power of attorney, medical directives, etc. If these documents were drafted in another state, there could be complications with their use in Virginia.

Aging & Disability Peninsula on Aging and Disability Resource Network (PADRN), 757-345-6277 PADRN.org, Joan Bender Cancer Support www.cleaningforareason.org Mary Brett-Wright (CH Resident) This organization provides free housecleaning once a month for 4 months to any woman
currently undergoing chemotherapy for ANY type of cancer. All she has to do is sign-up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. The Cleaning For A Purpose organization will have a participating maid service, in the patient’s zip code area, arrange for the service.
Caregiver Support Meetings Colonial Heritage Community Foundation (CHCF) holds one monthly meeting. The
meetings are open to the public. 3rd Thursday of the month. Held at the Colonial Heritage Clubhouse from 2 pm – 4pm. For further information contact Joan Bender 757-345-6974.
Disposal of Old Drugs Williamsburg Drug Company located at 240 McClaws Circle. Recommended that you call
before going to them to ensure that a pharmacist is on duty (757-229-1041). No needles will be accepted.
