Objective
To ensure improved Health status of women and children in
semi urban area through Menstrual Hygiene, Family Planning
& Reproductive Health, Nutrition & Maternal Child Health in
planned phases
Need Analysis
• The health study, health camps and need analysis of the
community revealed that most of the women were
anaemic and were also prone to vaginal and
Reproductive diseases due to lack of hygiene and
knowledge practiced during their menstrual cycle &
pregnancy
• Program implemented in 2015

• Kulesara Village, Greater Noida, U.P
• Rudrapur, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand
• Donde village, Pune, Maharashtra
• Pillaipakkam village, Chennai, Tamilnadu
• Bagla Village, Hisar, Haryana.

Hygiene, the same lot of women are
trained over Family Planning and
Reproductive Heath Awareness
The focus of this intervention is to
create awareness about “Happy and
Healthy Family”, also the concept
“pregnancy should be by choice and
not by chance” was introduced during
the Program
Program Partners

• Technical Partner :- Jantan Sansthan,
Pathfinder India, Unicharm India
Post Training Impact
• 83% of the participant got aware about their body, no. of
ovaries, size of uterus etc.
• 90% of Participants understood menstruation as a biological
process and started believing that menstruation blood is not
dirty
• 80% women started following Menstrual Hygiene
• Myth and taboos differed from location to location, age
group, family type etc.
• 56% participants started using contraceptives for family
planning
• Women admitted that pregnancy should be “by choice” not
“by Chance”.

• Inclusion of Male community in Family Planning &
Reproductive Program
• Participation of Govt. Health workers
Commitment to benefit 3000 women through MP,
FP & RH by 2020 registered in United Nation –
Every women every child program
