The NEC NP400/NP500/NP600 Allround Desktop Projectors

provide razor-sharp images and videos. Successors to the

extremely successful VT595/VT695/VT700 models, they have

been specially further optimised and improved for deployment

in the education sector. For example, the new models recognise

whether a video or computer signal has been connected,and automatically switch themselves off after a certain time

if no signal is present. Their increased energy efficiency

therefore makes an active contribution towards protecting the

environment.

Extensive security systems, which protect against theft and

unauthorised use, are also amongst the key features of

All functions can also be simply and easily operated using the

remote control unit. In addition, due to its built-in laser pointer

and mouse receiver, the remote control can also be used as

a practical aid for presentations.

Windows Vista network projectors

The Windows Vista NP1150/NP2150/NP3150 and NP3151W

network projectors can be simply Plug & Play connected toa W-LAN network. Windows Vista automatically recognises the

projectors in a wireless network and allows them to connect

to it using the Windows Network Projector function

additional software and administrator rights are not required.

The Remote Desktop function allows projectors, which

have a USB mouse or keyboard connected, to have access

over the network to a remotely set-up PC. This means, for

example, that the cost of an additional PC in a classroomcould be saved.

Centrally controlled interaction

Using the free Image Express Utility (IEU) software as well as

the PC control utility, installed projectors can be centrally

controlled over the network and checked-up on. Furthermore,

its also possible to transfer presentation files and display them

on all available networked projectors and PC screens. Various

moderator modes allow, as appropriate, networked participants

to be connected into the presentations or teaching materials.

In Training mode, the networked student/pupil participants can

be switched into Live mode by the instructor, so as to actively

take part in a presentation or exchange information with one

another using Chat mode. Meeting mode allows every participant

to become an individual presenter, and also has a function

that creates meeting reports in the form of screenshots or

short notes. These can be called up again at any time on any

of the PCs. Thus this represents the best possible basis for the

most up-to-date of training methods and is also a highly

motivating experience for those teaching and being taught.

arise. Thanks to HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) technology,

the Windows Vista NP1150/NP2150/NP3150 and NP3151W

network projectors achieve a cinematic quality to their image

projection. It guarantees pin-sharp image reproduction for

presentations with static through to multimedia content, and

grabs the attention of the viewers even for larger projection

tight. Requiring only a distance of 5.5 cm from the wall, the

NEC WT610 can display impressive 40-diagonal sized

images and so, particularly within the education sector, opens

up completely new perspectives.

Together with the EduMount or EduMove systems and an

interactive whiteboard, the WT610 is also highly effective as

a chalkboard or flipchart appreciation method of working

partuclarly popular with pupils, students and trainees.

Guaranteed learning success

NEC public displays and projectors have been designed to be

connected to a multiplicity of different video and PC sources

and can be centrally controlled over the network. Depending

on the model, they can also be equipped with an HDMI inter-face with HDCP so as to receive encrypted signals, as well as

with a RS-232 interface so that they can be integrated with

and controlled by legacy media systems.

NEC public displays with an option slot can be equipped with

a fully-functioning built-in PC that is directly integrated within

the display without any cabling or external power supply.

Additionally using, for example, wireless LAN, highly flexible

Uncompromising picture qualityover longer distances

When digital systems giving directions or information are de-

ployed, large distances quite often develop between the PC

source and the display, with unsightly cabling also frequently

accompanying the system. Based on the Minicom DS Vision

3000 system, the NEC CAT 5 receiver allows the loss-free trans-

port of data over distances of up to 600 m. The display and

PC can therefore be situated at great distances from each other.The fully-integrated module solution for NEC public displays

with an option slot avoids the need for annoying external cab-

ling. This offers both aesthetic as well as practical advantages.

The NEC CAT 5 system can also function as a splitter, when

multiple displays with identical content need to be deployed.

This is particularly ideal, for example, for communicating
