Tweed appearedat Pi o'clock, in charge of two DeputySheriffs, and accompanied by John Gra-ham, ex-Ju- dge Fuiler'on and DavidDudley Field as counsel. II appearednncouccrned, but immediately enteredinto consultation with his counsfd.District Attorney Garvin announced hisreadiness to proceed to trial. Grahamasked an extension of time to plead.Garvin had no object ion in giving reasona-ble- time, the prisoner, meantime, beingcommitted in the usual way.
