1. Login to your DPS issued Google account. (ex. username@dpsnc.net). Go to your Google

menu and select the “Sites” app.

2. Click on the “Create” button.

3. On this page, you will name your webpage. Please use the following naming conventions:

First Name, Last Name, STEM ePortfolio. (ex. John White Neal STEM Academy ePortfolio).

4. Scroll down and click on the arrow beside “Select a Theme”, please select the “Legal Pad”

theme. Then click “Create” in the top left hand corner. **Note: Be sure to verify your page

name/web address as it cannot be changed once you click “Create”.

5. Once the create button is clicked, you will be forwarded to your website. Please click the

gear or settings button and familiarize yourself with the various tools available on Google

Sites. Click on “Sharing and Permission”. The “Manage Site” option will also be useful in

making adjustments to your webpage.

6. Then click on the “Change” link to change the editing privileges. Then go the “Access” area

and change the settings to “Can View”. Click the “Save” button.

7. Once, you click save you will be forwarded to the privacy homepage. At the bottom, “Invite

People”, please invite all of your STEM teachers to view the document. Just type in their

name and click “Send”. Click on the site on the left hand side to return to your homepage.

8. Click the new page button at the top of the page.

9. Enter the page names for each webpage. You will create four webpages. (1) Projects-

Engineering Design Process, (2) Formative & Summative Assessments (use tables and

graphs to chart student growth), (3) Comment/Reflection/Goal for the STEM Course and

(4)Student Choice - Awesome Artifacts (anything else the student would like to share.

Make sure the “Put page under Home” option is selected. Then click the “Create” button at

the top of the page.

10. Below, please find what the completed site will look like. Go the “Manage Site” option to

make your site a template so that you students may easily access and edit the portfolio

section.

11. Click on “General Setting”, fill out the required fields and then click the “Publish this site as

template” and follow the prompts.
