Transition to In-Person InstructionalOfferings

Thank you for completing the survey toinform the school if your student will opt-intoin-person instruction for the 4th Quarter or ifs/he will continue with virtual instruction.

The results of our opt-in survey show that 41% of families have opted into in-person instruction. This is 152 out of 373 students, broken down as 47Freshmen, 39 Sophomores, 41 Juniors, and 25 Seniors.

At this time, our general opt-in survey is now closed. Families who did notcomplete the opt-in survey will remain with virtual instruction. The nextopportunity to opt-in to in-person instruction is the mid-point of Q4 (April23rd). Space is not guaranteed. Families who opted-in to in-person instructioncan transition back to virtual at any time.

Timeline for Transition:

Week of March 15th - All-Grades In-Person Hybrid, Start of 4th Quarter

To prepare for the transition, we will bring in one grade level per week ofstudents whose families have opted into in-person to acclimate students tothe hybrid scenario:

Week of February 15th - 12th Grade Only - In Person Dry Run**Week of February 22nd - 11th Grade Only - In Person Dry RunWeek of March 1st - 10th Grade Only - In Person Dry RunWeek of March 8th - 9th Grade Only - In Person Dry Run

**Our 3rd quarter instructional schedule will remain the same. Dry run willtake place on two of the three instructional days. 

The exact number of days in which students will have in-person instructionand the 4th Quarter hybrid schedule will be shared with families next week.

Saturday School Begins

Our Saturday school for credit recoverybegins this Saturday, January 31st from 9a.m. - 12 noon. Please reference the emailsent directly to the student and parent withyour student's specific Saturday schoolschedule, if applicable. Any student with an For Incomplete on his or her 1st Semester report card will attend. Saturdayschool will be held virtually, although there are a limited number of spacesavailable in the school for students to engage in their work from CTK. Student Support

Office Hours/Parent CommunicationOn Mondays, each teacher holds Office Hours in order to provide small groupsupport to students in achieving their learning mastery. Any student iswelcome to attend, and students with a D or F in a given class are expected toattend. Teachers will be reaching out to parents according to our parentcommunication protocol to encourage office hour attendance.

HomeworkCourses may assign up to 45 minutes of homework per week. Our goal is toengage students in work to support their learning mastery by assigningmeaningful work on a consistent schedule that is of developmentallyappropriate length. Each subject has been given a specific day in which theirhomework is due. Here is the homework due date schedule:

CWSP Update

Thanks to all our CWSP students for the strong efforts you are putting forthin both Remote Work and Professional Development with Excel thisweek. Congrats to all our Jeopardy winning teams!  

In an effort ensure clarity on grading this semester, we want to make sure youare aware of the following:

Professional Development/Excel students will be graded on lessoncompletion and module tests. 70% of your grade will be based on yourmodule test grades; 30% will be based on your completion ofassignments during your study hall each workday.  Your attendance inthe virtual study hall is required.  Please be sure to check your googleclassroom for the zoom link and start time on your workday.Remote Workers will be graded on Attendance and Time Card Ratingseach week. 80% of your grade will be based on your time card rating;20% will be based on attendance.  Please be sure that you completeyour timecard at the end of each workday so that your supervisor canget your rating in ontime.
