State Team Action Plan
State Summary: All NE students develop the lifelong habits necessary to promote health and learning. NE AFHK achieves this by engaging wellness champions through education, communication, expertise and passion to ultimately influence key decision makers within the school communities and promote healthy school environments.

Team Infrastructure/ Capacity Building
By June 2015, engage at least 3 new or inactive members in the team’s work through the formation of committees. Host networking event (lunch after all-
member meeting in November). Modify current steering committee meetings
to make better use of members’ time. Update committee member lists.
Team- Identified Impact
Schools feel confident and willing to implement Smart Snacks, breakfast and physical activity into their wellness policy.

Our booth display was on loan and has been returned.
National AFHK has a smaller tabletop display for approximately $295 + shipping.
Hannah is already sending us a tablecloth and stand up banner to go with it.
November Networking Lunch
When: November 19th (immediately following all-member meeting)

Steering Committee/ All-Member Future Meetings
Current All-Member Meeting Dates: Sept 17 LLFNov 19 LLA January 21 Room BMarch 18 Room BMay 20 Room B
In an effort to maximize value of steering committee meetings, should they only be scheduled on an as-needed basis (budget approvals) or continue as a routine meeting?
If so, should we establish a steering committee meeting time that perhaps does not immediately precede the all-member meeting?
All-member meeting time- alternate locations/ times to increase in-person participation? Currently 3rd Wednesday of the
month quarterly from 9-12 Lancaster County Extension or Health
Dept. have been proposed as alternate locations
