Out of the total affected, 43,417 families / 203,022 persons were displaced

EMERGENCY PREPAREDENESS AND RESPONSE:
NDRRMC Operations Center NDRRMOC remained under BLUE ALERT STATUS Disseminated NDRRMC Advisories on Weather Advisory to all regions affected
through SMS and facsimile, uploaded the same at the NDRRMC Website, Facebook,and Twitter accounts for further dissemination to their respective local Disaster RiskReduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to themunicipal levels

PDRRMC Albay Advised the LDRRMCs to:
1. Closely monitor the forecast events for its daily update and developmentfrom PAGASA and PDRRMC Albay through the local DRRMCs and localradio stations.
2. Activate and convene the LDRRMC to discuss the matter and come up
with a local scenario for advance planning on appropriate countermeasures.3. Review their local risk reduction plan on flood, wind, landslide, lahar and
coastal flooding as well as the corresponding vulnerable population fordisaster avoidance.
4. Start reviewing the list of vulnerable population by sitio or purok and comeup with the list as your basis in evacuation planning.
5. Come up with a listing of safe evacuation centers using government andprivate facilities including safe private houses for an effective evacuation
planning. Advised the residents to keep on monitoring the daily weather updates fromPAGASA; maintain coordination with the local authorities and cooperate with thelocal authorities in case of emergency advisory issuance

streams and landslide prone areas on 17 January 2014 Carras Nickel Corporation (CNC) deployed 15 rescuers and 1 heavy equipment fortransportation in the request of MDRRMC Carrascal for help in the evacuation of theaffected communities
Jabonga assisted in the evacuation and distributed relief goods and aqua purifiertablet/liquid to flood affected families
Buenavista convened for an emergency meeting to prepare for possible effects of thisweather disturbance and established Command Center to monitor the situation.Likewise, forced evacuation was implemented in coastal and other high risk areas in
