Course Overview
This intermediate qualification will develop the knowledge and skills needed when working with children in children and young people’s workforce.
The course is suitable all those who would like to gain knowledge and understanding of working with children in various environments, that are working or who would like to work within the children and young people’s workforce.
The course includes introductions to• Children and young people’s development• Supporting relationships and behaviour• Health, safety & wellbeing• Safeguarding & protection• Supporting positive environments
There are also optional units available to tailor your course towards children with learning or behavioural difficulties. There would also be opportunities for staff to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma.

Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 2 Apprenticeship/Diploma
The 12 month apprenticeship consists of the following accredited qualifications• Level 2 Diploma for Childrens and Young People’s
Workforce (QCF)• Level 1 Functional Skills Mathematics• Level 1 Functional Skills English• Level 1 Functional Skills ICT
