Inadequate supports resting on weak side strata got
disturbed at the time of concreting and leads to twisting
of the pedestal at one direction. FQE SubContactor Closed
Due to movement of concrete labour and improper
diameter of chairs used the cover at end portion of
grade slab increases than the specified value. FQE SubContactor Closed
Lack of supervision at the time concreting. FQE SubContactor Closed
Due to incessant rain and erosion of soil beneath the
grade slab caused the settelement. FQE SubContactor Closed
Waste materials such as empty cement bags, wooden
blocks etc were dumped at the area, which is used for
backfilling near trenches, causing mixing of the same
with fill material. FQE SubContactor Closed
Drawing reading error by Site Engineer FQE SubContactor Closed
Non provision of adequate numbers, size and strength
of cover blocks, leading to exposure of reinforcements. FQE SubContactor Closed
Side supports rested on loose soil and not able to
withstand concrete pressure causing lateral bulging of
pedestal foundations of Isolators. FQE SubContactor Closed
Because of height and limited access, formwork was not

reinforcement level brought to desired level and grade
slab recasting done.
Existing concrete chipped & recast as per required levels
mentioned in drawing
Cement grout mix with 1:3 ratio Poured.
Empty cement bags, wooden blocks etc which got mixed
with the backfilling material, were removed. The
backfilling done with proper material.
Opening made for Air Intake pipes as per drawing by
chipping the slab.
The loose material chipped off and the exposed surface
covered by using GP2 grouting material with finished
surface.
Reverified the bolt alignment and found OK.
Chipped off the 2 nd lift and re cast by applying rich
mortar.
Top portion was hacked off and grouted to match the
level.

Loose concrete chipped off and repaired using
cementitious grout Conbextra GP2.
20 mm dia holes with 150 to 200 mm depth were made
at 150mm c/c along 3.0m wall length to bring the
dislocated reinforcement at correct location . 16mm diarods of 1.0m length were inseted into the above holes
and tied with the original reinforcement followed by
fixing with Logfix grout at bottom .
