Objective: To provide support for trainees’ research training component in a MD/PhD program

Candidate:

Mentor:

Applicant must be enrolled in a MD/PhD program, and must be within the first 48 months of enrollment. US citizenship or green card

Principal investigator(s) with R01 or R01-like funding who can provide mentorship in both research and career development.

Award: $22,920 /yr; Tuition and fees: up to $21,000 /yr; Training Related Expenses: $4,200/yr; Up to 6 years.

Objective: To assist postdoctoral investigators in transitioning to a independent research position

Candidate: Postdoctoral fellows with no more than 4 yrs postdoctoral research experience, and about ready to become PIs. No citizenship requirement

Research: Laboratory-based cancer research

Mentor: Principal investigator(s) with R01 or R01-like funding who can provide mentorship in both research and career development, and fully supports the candidate’s transition to independence

Award: K99 phase (2 yrs): Up to $100K plus fringe benefit, and $30K research supportR00 phase (3 yrs): $249K/yr; At least 75% professional effort
