theminutes. Theminuteswereapproved.
TreasuresReport:
TheTreasurer,MicheleHartlove,presentedtheTreasurersreport.
AsofJuly31,2011,theNAVPbankaccounthasabalanceof$17,235.30,andNAVPhasanadditional
$395todeposit.
ThiswillbringthetotalbeforeNAVPconferenceexpensesto: $17,630.30.
To
date,NAVPhascollected$4,145forthe2011conferenceandtheexpensesare$884.68,which
havenotbeendeductedfromthebalanceshownabove.
NAVPpaid$570forthewebsite
maintenanceand$100totheIRS.
NAVPhasaCDatFirstMidIllinoisBank&TrustAccount
with$6,157.18. TheTreasurersreportwasunanimouslyapproved.
Ms. Hartlove reported that NAVPs taxexempt status was revoked
for failure to file 990s.
NAVPsannualincome isbelow$10,000,sointhepast990swerenotrequired.
Ms.Hartlove
filedalltheappropriateformstohavethetaxexemptstatusreinstated.
Thefilingfeeforthe
formswas$100.
Treasuresreportwasapproved.
OldBusiness:
MicheleHartlovestatedthatPranasPranckeviciuswillupdatetheWEBsite.HehasbeenpaidtocontinueupdatingandworkingwithNAVPontheEBsite.
AmotionwasmadetoformaIT
committeetohelpmakesuggestionsandimprovementstotheWEBsite.

Amotionwasmadetoformanadvisorycommitteetomentorandadvisetheexecutiveboard,andtohelpmentorandguideconferences.
Thiscommitteewillconsistofpastexecutiveofficers
ofNAVP.

Suggestionsweremadeto
obtainCEUcreditsfortheconferenceandinvitelocalnursesworkinginophthalmology,certified
ophthalmicmedicalassistants,opticalassistantsandlocalpediatricianofferpersonnelnursingstudents,
optometrystudentsandlocalLions.
Motionwasmadetoobtainbidstomake1,000NAVPbrochurestohaveavailableatconferencesto
increasemembership.
