DESCRIPTION The PGEC II Self Start Engine Controller gives the user an easy to install and operate, yet a full featured automatic engine starter. The PGEC II operates on 12 Volts. It includes ignition, crank, and rest cycles, sensing of crank time, start up speed and start attempts. The easy to read display reflects the current status of the controller and engine. Statistics such as engine run time, start ups, retries, fail times and others are easily accessible. “Wet” or “dry” inputs provide flexibility to use the controller for numerous applications. The unit is MODBUS compatible to interface with most remote control or SCADA systems. Four user interface buttons make for easy set up of run/off schedules as well as adjustable parameters such as over speed/under speed shutdown RPM.

BASIC OPERATIONS Operation in Manual Mode is performed by scrolling through the menu to set in manual mode. Pressing the set button again either starts or stops the engine. Operation in Schedule Mode is performed by scrolling through the menu to set in schedule mode. Up to 40 schedules can be set to start the engine at a specific time of day for a specific number of days and to run for a specific number of hours and minutes. Operation in Statistic Mode is performed by scrolling through the menu to set in statistics mode. This mode will allow the user to view the many statistics recorded such as run time, start ups, retries, failures, resets, etc….. Operation in the Configuration Mode is performed by pressing the reset button on the back of the PCB. This mode will allow changes to all operating parameters, adjust serial port parameters, and change language (English/Spanish) If the engine shuts down because of a potential engine malfunction, such as, under speed, over speed, to many start attempts, etc…. The displays will “Read Out” the shut down reason and the engine will not attempt to restart until the controller is manually reset.

STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY

This warranty applies to JBL, LLC pump driver or compressor packages shipped from the factory on or after January 1, 2005. JBL, LLC (The Seller), subject to the following conditions, limitations and exclusions, warrants to Buyer that any new product manufactured by Seller and purchased and paid for by Buyer will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 12 months from the date of initial use or from the date of shipment, whichever period expires first. Seller warrants products manufactured by others, such as engines, clutches, batteries and similar products; only to the extent that Seller is able to enforce warranties provided to Seller by the manufacturer of such products. Seller warrants replacement parts and products of its manufacture only to the extent of and for the unexpired warranty period of Seller’s warranty applicable to the replaced part or product, if any. The terms, conditions and limitations of Seller’s warranties cannot be waived or modified except by an instrument in writing executed by a duly authorized officer of Seller. Seller’s warranty shall apply only if (1) Buyer promptly notifies Seller of the alleged defect upon discovery. (2) Seller receives from Buyer written notice of the alleged defect within the warranty period and (3) Seller in its sole judgment determines that the product is covered by its warranty. Seller shall have the option of requiring Buyer, at Buyer’s sole risk and expense, to return the alleged defective part or product to Seller for inspection. If the Seller determines the part or product is covered by its warranty, the Seller, at its option will repair or replace the part or product at Sellers authorized repair facility or other Seller approved location during normal business hours. For (6) months from the date of initial use or date of shipment from the factory, whichever period expires first; Seller will pay reasonable, established labor needed to make warranty repairs during the repair facilities normal working hours. This warranty does not include costs for transportation of parts or products to or from the authorized repair facility, removal of product from attached equipment nor travel expense to repair the product in any location except those approved by Seller. Seller’s warranty does not apply to goods purchased for personal, family or household purposes, and Seller’s warranty does not apply where (1) the part or product has been improperly installed, operated, maintained, altered or serviced or (2) the part or product has been damaged in shipment or otherwise damaged without fault of Seller.
