CHRIST IS IN OUR MIDST!

HE IS AND ALWAYS SHALL BE!

GREAT LENT: We are in the Holy Season of GreatLent! Keep holy the fast! Pray, Fast, and attend services

to make this journey to Pascha a successful one! Please

make a good confession! Confession is heard every

Sunday beginning at 9 AM and before every service.

Please come early to participate in the Sacrament of

Confession.

PIROHI FUND RAISER: Last month we started a new

project here in our church. We began by testing Pirohi

at our March Blini dinner. As the reviews came in

Protodeacon John began securing orders for these

delicious delicacies. Last month, we prepared and sold

44 dozen of potato, sauerkraut, and Lekvar (Prune)

Pirohi to members of his school community. This

resulted in a profit to our church of over $300. Of

course the ingredients for these were donated by Nadja

Schimdt and Protodeacon John Morvay.

I would personally like to thank Matushka Donnalynn,

Matushka Ludmila, Father John, Nadja and Fred

Schmidt (who made a special recipe for the sauerkraut),

Cousin Cliff and Dorothy Skripak for their help.Without their help this initiative couldnt be

accomplished. If you would like to help out one

Saturday a month for a couple of hours or help securing

some orders please see Nadja Schmidt or Matushka

Donnalynn. If you cant find the time to help prepare

these delicacies, donations to purchase ingredients willgladly be accepted. Please see Nadja Schmidt if you

would like to donate towards this project!

HELP US PASS THE WORD: Our next Pirohi sale will

be on Saturday, April 20th. Orders will be taken

beginning on Sunday, April 1st. Cost per dozen is $7.00.

We have for sale: Potato, Sauerkraut, and Lekvar(Prune). These can be frozen until after Pascha or

served on Pascha.

PLEASE JOIN IN: For the past few months

Protodeacon John Morvay has been singing the Our

Father during the appointed time. We also would like

to begin singing the Apostles Creed as well in thefuture. We as a parish family are encouraging you to

participate in the singing of the Our Father. This is a

time when we want YOU to join Deacon John in the

singing of this beautiful praise to Our Heavenly Father!

So please make an effort to join in!

SPECIAL THANKS to the faithful of our parish who

have responded in a positive way towards the items

needed for our parish. We are grateful for your

kindness and hope that others will find it in their heartto help out in anyway. Please see Matushka Ludmila at

the candle desk to make a donation for these items.

PASCHA FLOWERS: It is customary in our parish to

take a collection for the beautification of our parish for

them Feast of the Resurrection of Christ (Pascha). The

basket will be available upon leaving the church afterthe kissing of the Cross. Please help defray the cost of

the purchase of these flowers for Pascha either by using

the basket or seeing Matushka Ludmila at the candle

desk.

PUSSY WILLOWS: As Spring approaches and our

Pascha is later this year the pussy willow flower treesare blooming. We ask that if you have a tree please cut

them down and bring them to the parish home so they

will be available for distribution on Palm Sunday.

HOLY SATURDAY: WE are in need of our faithful to

sign up for an hour of your time on Holy Saturday to

guard over the grave of Our Lord. If you can spend anhour in prayer to guard over the grave please sign up

on the sheet for this purpose at the candle desk. We

need your help on this day. We encourage our youth of

the parish to participate on this day to spend time in

prayer and reflection!

CHOIR MEMBERS NEEDED: WE can use the help ofour parishioners in this much needed area. If you like to

sing please dont hesitate to go up in the choir loft and

join in the singing of our Divine Services. We encourage

you to help out!
