WE THANK YOU: Special Thanks to everyone in our parish who made our celebration of Pascha a very special time. Our Lord’s Resurrection is a most solemn day of our faith and everyone contributed to make it very special. Again, May the Lord send down his Blessing upon you and your families and let us pray that we are blessed with good health for Many Blessed Years! Christ Is Risen! Christos Voskrese! SUMMER IS NEAR! Who would have thought that we are only a few months away from summer. After a brutal winter of cold, ice, and snow the sun has been shining brightly and it seems we are on our way for the hazy lazy days of summer. Please remember that our church is open and the Divine Liturgy is celebrated at 10 AM each and every Sunday in the summer! So before you think about going water skiing, fishing or boating stop in and attend the Divine Liturgy!

HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY : Father John has always made an effort to remember our parishioners who have Birthday Celebrations each month. This year the Very Reverend Father John Prokopiuk our rector will be celebrating his 60th birthday on May 24th. Please join us in the parish

home on Sunday May 25th for a luncheon in his honor after the Divine Liturgy.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK OF OUR PARISH: Please remember in your prayers the sick and suffering members of our parish who are homebound and hospitalized. May God Grant them peace, good health and many blessed years! Christ Is Risen! Indeed He Is Risen!

LITURGICAL ITEMS NEEDED: Listed below are some liturgical items that are needed for church services:

Charcoal: $ 250 for a year

Liquid Paraffin: $400 for the year

Gold Covers: $1,000 remaining

Holy Water Container: $700.00

BLACK VESTMENTS: $1700.00 remaining.

GENERAL CONFESSION: General Confession will be served on the first Sunday in June. Please make an effort to be with us on June 1st beginning at 9:30AM.

NO KNEELING: From PASCHA UNTIL PENTECOST SUNDAY: There is no kneeling in church from Pascha until the Sunday of Pentecost when Father John reads the kneeling prayers during the Vespers served after the Divine Liturgy!

PARISH HOME NEEDS: The Parish Council is looking to purchase three air conditioners for the Parish home hall. Cost for each of these floor units are $300 each. If you would like to purchase one of these units please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk. At this time we have two units

still available for purchase. We thank Mrs. Joanna Baronowsky for purchasing the first one.

MOTHER’S DAY: Please remember in your prayers the mother’s of our parish on Sunday May 11th. On this day the Mother’s of our parish will receive a special flower in their honor on this day. We will also pray for the departed mother’s of our parish and our spiritual family with the singing of “Eternal Memory” after the Divine Liturgy.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: The Parish Council will hold their monthly meeting on Sunday May 18th after the Divine Liturgy in church. All Parish Council members are asked to be present on this day.

CHOIR MEMBERS NEEDED: The choir director is looking for singers! No

experience is needed! All we ask is that you take a leisurely walk up the stairs to the choir loft and offer your assistance! We need your help!!!!!!

PARISH PICNIC: We would like to hold our Annual Parish Picnic in June! If you would like to help or contribute to this function please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to contribute towards the purchase of food.

PARISH HALL FOR RENT: Do you know anyone who might be having a small affair to honor someone’s birthday, shower, or wedding anniversary? Please contact Matushka Ludmila for available dates.
