Wheel of
Stars Nativity
In the
Stars 1
The First Step
As many of you know, I have spent a lot of time tracking the role of the stars in
the original Biblical calendar.
This quest often involves complex explanations, lengthy charts and a lot of
historical detective work that takes many
hours just to explain properly.
But the practical effect of this research is very easy
2
The First Step
I believe we are meant to understand Scripture to a much higher level of
precision than many may have believed
was possible in times past.
And I have used this calendar driven by the stars to prove many things, such
as the actual dates for the Exodus,
Yshuas birth, and to confirm that priestly course 1 was on duty each time the
Temple burned. 3
The First Step
These things matter, because they show proof that the calendar in Scripture
actually works perfectly. YHWH is not
the Author of confusion.
And when it comes to star signs there is none more important or mysterious than
the Star of Bethlehem that announced
Yshuas birth.
But 2,000 years later many have no idea what that Star actually was! 4
The First Step
Almost all of the idealized Christian tradition here is inaccurate or overly
simplified. This is far more than just the
twinkling of a single star on a Silent Night!
What you are going to see are actual computer representations of many
types of special signs that occurred
over a 5 year period2 years before the birth and 3 years afterwards to mark
Yshuas safe return from Egypt. 5
The First Step
The message of Abba YHWH to the Magi; professional astronomers in Babylon, who
may have been trained by Daniel but
retained their Eastern astrology and pagan
culture; was through a series of
conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn in
Pisces, from May 29 to December 4 of 7
BCE. These conjunctions, coming very
close together in Pisces, gave the Magi a
special message about Yshua.
6
Jupiter: Kings Planet
As the greatest wanderer in the sky, its not surprising this planet would be associated with kingship by the
Magi
7
Saturn: Shabbat/Savior Planet
8
Saturns Day = Saturday = Shabbat
Because the ancient Hebrews kept
Shabbat, Saturn
became their
champion in the minds of the nations
around Israel!
Pisces: The Sign of Israel
Traditions associate the fish
(Pisces) with Israel
due to the story of
Jonah
Early followers of Yshua also were associated with the
sign of the fish
9
Pisces: The Sign of Israel
Teachings from Rabbi
Arbarbanel and
others confirm
these ancient
connections
And these signs spell out a
specific
message:
10
The Great Message:
COMING SOON to a manger
near you!
King and Savior of Israel to be
born soon. Stay tuned for other
witnesses for more details.
He will appear in His Father
YHWHs Name to bring us
peace, atonement and light!
11
The First Step
But before we can fully appreciate these great insights in the heavens, we need to
review the historical period in which these
signs took place.
What follows then is a proven historical processthe 7 Anchorsthat narrows the Nativity time down from nearly 3
years to the first 2 weeks of September
5 BCE. From there, astronomical clues
will point us to the exact day of the birth! 12
The Seven Historical Anchors
The first anchor is also the easiest. Both Matthew and Luke agree that Yshua is born in the last days of King Herod the
Great.
More than 95% of all Biblical scholars agree Herod died somewhere between
March 25th and April 2nd, 4 BCE, because
of what the historian Josephus wrote
in The Jewish War, 2:1-10. 13
The Seven Historical Anchors
Basically, Herods son Archelaus mourns his fathers death for 7 days and right after this, Passover starts.
This gives us a really good idea when Herod died, no later than April 2nd, or 8
Abib, in 4 BCE.
Josephus also tells us the exact length of Herods reign from TWO separate time references, since Herod took over
Israel in stages
14
The Seven Historical Anchors
So Herod, having survived the slaughter of
his son five days, died, having reigned 34
years since he had caused Antigonus to
be slain, and obtained his kingdom; but
37 years since he had been made king by
the Romans. (The Jewish War, 1:665)
Herod was proclaimed king by Rome in 40 BCE but becomes king in 37 BCE, so
both dates bring us to 4 BCE for his
death. Now moving on to anchor #2
15
The Seven Historical Anchors
The second anchor is the fact that no significant astronomical events happened
prior to late May of 7 BCE which would
point to the birth of Messiah. More on
this later
So now the bookends are in place. Yshua is born no earlier than May 29, 7 BCE and no later than April 2nd, 4
BCE, when Herod the Great died. 16
The Seven Historical Anchors
The third anchor is the detail in Luke 2:8 that shepherds were living out in the fields keeping watch over their flocks by
night.
Even today in Israel, and this was certainly true 2000 years ago, shepherds
NEVER live out in the open with their
sheep after mid-November, when the
heavy rains come. 17
The Seven Historical Anchors
The range is then cut to no earlier than May 29, 7 BCE to no later than mid-
November, 5 BCE.
Our fourth anchor has to do with the purification period that Yshuas mother Maryam had to go through.
Leviticus 12:1-4 requires a total of 41 days of purification for the mother of a
boy. And the Gospels say this 18
The Seven Historical Anchors
And when the days of their purification
were fulfilled according to the instruction
of Moshe, they took him up to Urishlim to
present him before Master YHWH.
(Luke 2:22-AENT)
So Herod doesnt order the slaughter of the infants in Bethlehem before this
purification period is over and Joseph
and Mary must stay near Jerusalem
that entire time. 19
The Seven Historical Anchors
But now our fifth anchor will cut 2 years off our birth window. It is based
on three references in the Gospels.
These references, in turn, contain precise astronomical information that
conclusively tell us what the Star of
Bethlehem has to be.
First, Matthew has the Magi say something critical to King Herod
20
The Seven Historical Anchors
And when Y'shua was born in Beth-Lekhem
of Yehuda, in the days of Herodus, the king,
Magoshi came from the east to Urishlim.
And they said, "Where is he who has
been born the king of the Yehudeans?
For we saw his star in the East and have
come to worship him." (Matthew 2:1-2-
AENT)
We know when the Magi saw this star in the rising/in the east
21
We have seen his star rising in the East. (May 27, 5 BCE)
22
The Seven Historical Anchors
But its this second passage from Matthew that begins to confirm the
timing
Then Herodus, in secret, called to the
Magoshi and learned from them by which
time the star appeared to them. (Matthew
2:7-AENT)
Herod wants to know when the Magi became interested in the star.
23
The Seven Historical Anchors
Then, when he gets the data he needs, this is what he does with it, in Matthew
2:16
Then, when Herodus saw that the Magoshi
mocked him, he was angry and sent (and)
killed all the boys of Beth-Lekhem and of
all from its borders 2 years and under,
according to the time that he inquired
from the Magoshi.
24
The Seven Historical Anchors
This tells us the Magi were tracking the star for 2 years by the time they saw
Herod. But 2 years from what event?
The first conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Pisces was a fairly common eventhappens about once every 19 years. This
would not have greatly intrigued the
Magi at all no matter what year it fell
because the pattern had only just
started presenting itself at that time. 25
The Seven Historical Anchors
However, the 2nd conjunction would have really captured their attention. It
had happened only a few months later,
which is rare in and of itself.
But the Magi were from Babylonthats the only place they could have tracked
these signs from--where a vast Jewish population was alsothey would have known the Hebrew calendar and that
they were tracking a Jewish Messiah.
26
The Seven Historical Anchors
Their faith tradition, known as Zoroastrianism, told them a world ruler would be born in a land to their
West to where the stars would direct
them.
What better sign then could the Magiwhich is a title for the high
priest/astronomers of their religionhave had than an October 1st conjunctionon a High Holy day - YOM KIPPUR!
27
The Seven Historical Anchors
So 2 years later, or mid September in 5 BCE, is the time the Magi would have
visited Herod. The 2nd solar anniversary
of the Yom Kippur event is Oct 1st.
And because they viewed Herod as a Jewish king (he was really half Arab), the
Magi surely told him about the Yom
Kippur event in 7 BCE, causing Herod to
kill the infants 2 years and under after
they departed!
28
The Seven Historical Anchors
Our sixth anchor though will confirm this timing. Observing Jupiter rise in the
east in late May of 5 BCE.
Since this is the sign that caused the Magi to leave Babylon for Israel, we
need to factor in how long the journey
would have taken them along well
known travel routes from these locations.
This is where Tanakh helps!
29
The Seven Historical Anchors
Ezra arrived in Jerusalem in the fifth month,
in the seventh year of the king's reign; for
he had ordered the departure from
Babylon on the first day of the first
month, and he arrived in Jerusalem on
the first day of the fifth month, since the
kindly hand of his God was over him.
(Ezra 7:8-9 NJB)
30
The Seven Historical Anchors
Ezra, travelling under the protection of the king, would have taken the same
travel routes and travelled in the same
high style as these Magi did about 500
years later.
And the text directly says it took EXACTLY four months to take this
route from Babylon to Jerusalem,
which fits all the data thus far!
31
The Seven Historical Anchors
32
The Seven Historical Anchors
Since the Magi would have left for Israel when they saw Jupiter rise in the east the
date of this event matters: May 27th, 5
BCE (Gregorian).
Their arrival to see Herod though is just after the birth of Yshua because they proclaim, in past tense, Where is he who has been born King of the Jews.
33
The Seven Historical Anchors
I will deal with that timing issue more precisely in a moment. For now, just
understand that the Magi dont leave Herod until the star moves again, on September 26th 5 BCE.
They are seeing Herod when Jupiter has paused over Bethlehem, no earlier than
the week before,September 19th. This
matches the journey of Ezra almost
perfectly! 34
The Seven Historical Anchors
In Hebrew terms, Ezras journey from the 1st day of Abib to the 1st day of Ab
is precisely 119 days (30 for Abib + 29
for Iyar + 30 for Sivan + 29 for Tammuz +
1 for Ab = 119).
The Magi, were prepared for months to leave Babylon for Israel, and upon
seeing the star rise would have been
ready to depart later that same day they
saw that sign, May 27th, at sunrise. 35
The Seven Historical Anchors
So lets add up the Magis time
1) 5 days left in May (27-31 inclusive)
2) 30 days for June
3) 31 days for July
4) 31 days for August
5) 19 days until September 19th
___________________________________
TOTAL116 days 36
The Seven Historical Anchors
So the Magi come to see Herod only 3 days shy of how long it took Ezra to return
to Jerusalem, from the same Babylon
road.
And Ezra definitely rested on Shabbat, so his real travel days are probably considerably less than the Magis, possibly around 17 days less. But even if
the Magi kept Shabbat and rested, the
trip is extremely doable for them.
37
The Seven Historical Anchors
Our seventh and final anchor has to do with the fact that as Luke 2:7 said, for there was no room at the inn.
We now know for certain that Yosip and Maryam are in Bethlehem during
the 7th month, or September.
But when they get there, the inns are completely stuffed full of peopletheres nowhere to go but a manger.
38
The Seven Historical Anchors
The inn is crowded because pious Jews are gearing up for the fall sacred season
and the Romans have scheduled their
registration to coincide with when
people would be on the road anyway to
get to Jerusalem for the Feast of
Tabernacles, or Sukkot.
But during Sukkot no Jews would be at the innthey would live OUTSIDE!
39
The Seven Historical Anchors
Therefore, Yshua had to be born in the 7th month but just prior to the start of
Tabernacles. Thus the 2 week window I
spoke of earlier would be September 1st
through 13th, 5 BCE.
However, the retrograde motion of Jupiter will narrow the time further.
When Matthew 2:9 says the star went out before them, this refers to a specific astronomical event
40
Supporting Evidence
As the Earth moves through space, the
outer planets the Magi are watching
appear to speed up or slow down in their daily motion. So when Jupiter
emerged from the sun, it appears to race ahead, as it did from May to September in 5 BCE. The anchors are donenow its
time for astronomy and other evidence.
41
Supporting Evidence
42
Supporting Evidence
But on September 18th, after four months of going ahead of the Earth,
the Earth caught up to Jupiter and for
the next week, Jupiters motion appeared to pause over Bethlehem (19-26).
This would have to be the time that the Magi saw the infant Yshua, but we are also missing a critical fact still: Yshua was born well before this!
43
Supporting Evidence
The reason, as we already discussed before, concerns what the Magi said to
Herod: Where is he who has been born King of the Jews!
Another critical clue is in both Matthew and in Luke, where the shift in language
goes from calling Yshua an INFANT to calling him a CHILD or a BOY. This is
true in Greek and in Aramaic. 44
Supporting Evidence
The most significant place that child or boy appears rather than infant is in Matthew 2:11 and 13
And they entered the house and they saw the boy with Maryam, his mother, and they
fell (and) worshipped him, and they opened
their treasures and offered to him gifts (of)
gold and myrrh and incensethe messenger of Master
45
Supporting Evidence
YHWH appeared to Yosip in a dream and
said to him, "Arise, take the boy and his
mother and flee to Misrayin and there
remain until I tell you. For Herodus is going
to seek the boy as to destroy him.
So by the time the Magi see Yshua, he is called a BOY, or talia in Aramaic. The
Hebrew equivalent to this is zakhar, but
the question is 46
Supporting Evidence
What is the one time in Scripture when it is appropriate to call an infant by the name boy (talia/zakhar) instead?
This is my covenant which you must keep between myself and you, and your
descendants after you: every one of your
males (zakhar/) must be circumcised.
You must circumcise the flesh of your
foreskin, and that will be the sign of 47
Supporting Evidence
the covenant between myself and you. As
soon as he is eight days old, every one of
your males (zakhar/ ) generation after generation, must be circumcised, including
slaves born within the household or bought
from a foreigner not of your descent. (Genesis 17:10-12 NJB)
So this is the only time that an infant is a MALE or a BOY, at circumcision!
48
Supporting Evidence
The Greek version of the NT also seems to support the Jewish understanding.
The same Greek word paidon () can refer either to an infant (Luke 1:59,
John 16:21) or to a toddler.
In Greek, Luke 1:59 calls Yshua this literally when he is an 8 day old infant,
so the Magis arrival to see the child is actually pointing to an 8 day old infant in
the Greek!
49
Supporting Evidence
The text is also very clear that the Magi left very soon after seeing the Set-
Apart family and the family also left for
Egypt immediately thereafter.
This means the Magi must have seen Yshua just AFTER his circumcision on the 8th day of his life which is in turn
sometime during Jupiters pause over Bethlehem (September 19-26).
50
Supporting Evidence
8 days before September 19-26 would put Yshuas birth sometime between September 11th and 18th, 5 BCE.
However, Anchor #7, no room at the inn, means its before Sukkot, which eliminates September 15th-18th. This
narrows the dates to September 11-14,
5 BCE.
51
Supporting Evidence
It is this four day range, September 11-14, or between Yom Kippur and the
day before the start of Sukkot, that we
will keep studying in astronomical terms
until we get to the exact day and hour
of the Nativity!
But before that, we will set our clock back to May of 7 BCE and begin
tracking the star signs that lead to
Yshua! Meanwhile
52
Meet the Planets!
Previously, we saw the historical evidence for narrowing the range of
the Nativity of Yshua to just 4 days: September 11-14, 5 BCE.
Part of the reason for this precision was marrying Scripture to exact astronomical
events.
Now we are getting more deeply into YHWHs message from the stars.
53
Meet the Planets!
One of the most important signs of the Nativity was an incredibly active 5
month period, from late May to early
December in 7 BCE, when three
successive conjunctions of the planets
Jupiter and Saturn occurred in the
constellation of Pisces. Basically a
conjunction is when two planets appear
very close together in the sky.
54
Meet the Planets!
How close the planets appear varies. Technically speaking a conjunction is when two or more planets are within a
few degrees of one another in the
same part of the sky.
But conjunctions can be very close. Sometimes the planets would get so
close they will appear to merge;
however, most times they remain distinct
to the naked eye. 55
Meet the Planets!
Ancient astronomers could not always recognize the night of closest approach of a conjunction due to a wide array of factors such as the brightness of the sun, position of the planets over the horizon, etc.
With modern tools we can predict things to the moment they happenedbut this is almost always 1-2 days before the ancients would have perceived them.
56
Meet the Planets!
We will now start tracking these three rare conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn in Pisces. The dates/times of astronomical closest approach are May 27 @ 8:00 AM, September 29 @12:15 AM and December 3 @ 8:28 AM
But they would have been perceived by the Magi on May 29, Oct 1 and Dec 4.
57
Meet the Planets!
In order to confirm these dates, I enlisted the help of my science advisor, Bill Welker.
Bill has two physics degrees, and has spent his career working on US Department of Defense space systems. He also builds telescopes from scratch in his so-called spare time. Bill has proven invaluable for augmenting my astronomical knowledge. 58
Meet the Planets!
But in order to produce the right results, we both had to forget our modern astronomy gadgets and computers and put ourselves back to the visual astronomy practices of 2,000 years ago.
Modern astronomy can tell us the second something happened, but the ancients didnt work that way. At any rate, here is what Bill said.
59
Meet the Planets!
[10:07:48 AM] Bill Welker:
Sorry these descriptions were so long, but I had to convince myself this
effect was real. I did not "force" them to come out your way. I think you are
right, that the "end" of the conjunctions would not have been
perceived till the day after the "real" (calculated) end. Someone could
always argue about this, but I have a lot
60
Meet the Planets!
of years of observing the planets, so I'm also using how I know the real planets would look like in the sky, compared to what my software is
showing.
Bill Welker, Skype correspondence, September 15-16, 2013
So now that we have confirmed the dates as May 29th, Oct 1st and Dec 4th of 7 BCE, lets see these same days on the Hebrew calendar...
61
62
May 29, 7 BCE (Jupiter and Saturn in
Pisces)
63
October 1, 7 BCE (Jupiter and Saturn
again in Pisces)
64
December 4, 7 BCE (3rd conjunction in 5
monthsvery rare!)
65
The real record from the actual place!
66
When in Doubt
But our rare star signs are just beginning. At this point the Magi have seen a preview of what is coming, but they are definitely staying put for right now.
The winter has begun, and its a very unpleasant time of year to travel 660 miles if you dont have to. And the stars are about to tell them many more details. When in doubt

68
Read the Directions!
July 26th is the mid-point between the 1st and 2nd conjunctions.
This is the direction Jupiter and Saturn are seen to be going as they move through the sky each night for the next several months: toward Jerusalem!
Then something dramatic happens to Jupiter and Saturn just after the third conjunction on December 4th
69
December 7, 7 BCE (Jupiter and Saturn
now begin to move away from Jerusalem)
70
Read the Directions!
December 7th star signs are pointing away from Israel and the rainy season is a bad time to travel 660 miles if you can help it.
As before, the Gospels are clear that Yshua was born before Herods death in April, 4 BCE.
But then another very rare event happens on February 20th, 6 BCE
71
Conjunction of Planets, February 20, 6 BCE
72
Another view
73
Conjunction of Planets
On February 20th, in the skies over Babylon and Israel, a conjunction of planets occurred in the sign of Pisces. Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and Mars all appear within a small visual field from one another!
Mars is well-known as a bloody omen due to its red color and for being the Greek and Roman the god of war!
74
Conjunction of Planets
For the Magis astrological and pagan-influenced world this means the War Planet of Mars has invaded the King Planet Jupiter and this may be foretelling a dire time for Israel, when war causes chaos in the region.
So, until other signs clarify, the Magi are staying put! And Mars will confirm that decision by making another personal appearance just a short time later
75
Jupiter and Mars too close for comfort in
Pisces on March 1, 6 BCE
76
Jupiter and Mars
This could not be a clearer astronomical message: Blood has overwhelmed the house of the king so the Magi are still not going anywhere.
It is also still winter, the rainy season, so again, no compelling reason for the Magi to travel 660 miles to Israel if they dont have to. And even just before spring starts, the omens for the king remain dark.
77
Jupiters Dark Spring
A little later, on March 18th, 6 BCE, the Kings Planet disappears in a most unusual way: It is occulted by the New Moon! As the moon became new, not yet visible, it blocks Jupiter completely one sunset when Jupiter would have otherwise been seen.
Jupiter will then go behind the sun for 4 more weeks, shielding it from view for the whole 1st Hebrew month. The Kings Planet is in hiding! Next 78
The Baptists Comet
79
The Baptists Comet
We know Yochanan the Immerser is born 5-6 months before Yshua.
During the month of Abib in 5 BCE, a comet was seen over Israel. It was visible across the region for a total of 70 days, but strongly visible in Israel ONLY during Abib (March 7- April 5), after which it gets much harder to see. I believe this comet was meant to herald the Baptists impending birth.
80
The Signs Change
But on April 16th, Jupiter returns from its March 19th exile behind the sun and is surrounded by the stars of spring--definitely a turn for the better for the Magi. 1 more sign remains!
Jupiter must rise in the east and move towards Israel. That event has a solid date, two years to the day of the first closest approach of Jupiter and Saturn, May 27th, 5 BCE. Lets take a look 81
We have seen his star rising in the East. (May 27, 5 BCE)
82
We have seen his star rising in the East. (May 27, 5 BCE)
The Magi would not have left before seeing the kings star rising in the East!
We also saw that it took exactly 4 months to travel from Babylon to
Jerusalem along well-known trade
routes.
This will bring the Magi to the right area in mid September, 5 BCE.
83
As we saw earlier, our range for Yshuas birth within that month of September is between the 11th and the 14th, 5 BCE.
But it is only on ONE of these daysthe 13ththat we see a stunning celestial sign truly worthy of the King of Kings. Perhaps the Magi, having heard of it or seen it, knew he was born right then. My science advisor Bill Welker explains
Bill Welker says
84
On the night of September 13th, 5
BCE, there is a well placed total
Lunar Eclipse. By well placed, I mean that the moon rose that night, well
before Jupiter, and was of course,
nearly full. The eclipse began at
about 8:30 PM, with the moon 35
degrees high perfectly placed from Jerusalem to see the entire eclipse.
Bill Welker says
85
At totality, at about 9:30 pm, Jupiter was
rising but just barely above the
horizonThis means that as the total lunar eclipse ended, about 11 PM,
Jupiter was itself now prominently
placed, 20 degrees above the horizon,
a little north of due east. The fullness
of the moon, would not have
lessened the visibility of
Bill Welker says
86
Jupiter that night and it would be
easy each night from now on to tell
Jupiter was dramatically slowing
down in its nightly motion against
the stars.
This absolutely stunning lunar eclipse marks not just the day of the
birth, but I believe also the very
moment of his birthbetween 8:30-11:00 PM!
Bill Welker says

PM, Bethlehem local time (Actual photo of an eclipsed moon, May 25, 1975)
88
However, the signs dont stop with Yshua being bornfar from it!
First up is a lunar eclipse mentioned by Josephus that was literally the last full moon Herod the Great would ever see.
It also happened right at the time of Purim, linking Herod thematically to the Arab nemesis Haman who was also an Edomite. Lets show this

90 90
The eclipse was partial, but it would have caused a stir to the ancients.
This is the last full moon before Passover, 14 Adar (Purim), when Haman died!
As we have seen before and will see again, the number of astronomical events surrounding Yshuas birth and afterwards aligning with Hebrew feasts is astonishing.
Post Nativity Signs
91
So this sign was showing YHWHs displeasure at Herods bloody reign, but other signs would follow that tell us exactly when the Set-Apart family would return to Galilee.
However, the threat to the Set-Apart family did not end with his death because Matthew 2:20 talks about men seeking to kill Messiah, and once ordered, they will not stop.
Post Nativity Signs
92
gh
In terms of the chronology, Herod dies in 4 BCE, but the family stays in Egypt for another 2 years. Then they avoid Herods replacement (Matthew 2:22).
And since Archelaus (reigned 4 BCE-6 CE) was just as brutal as his late father, it is easy to see why the threat remained to their safety. He would not have countermanded the order, so the men who were charged with it had to die. Moving on
Post Nativity Signs

On May 17th, or Shavuot in 3 BCE, Mercury (the messenger) and Saturn (the Savior) had a close conjunction in Taurus.
The message of the Savior in the sign of sacrifice (the bull), may refer to Yshuas ascension during the omer count. Then on June 10th, the day Aaron died (1 Ab, 3 BCE), Venus and Saturn came together in Taurus as well, another sign of sacrifice. Next

94
August 10, 3 BCE, conjunction of
Jupiter and Venus
95
95
This conjunction was even closer than normalspectacular as the two planets very nearly merge into one mass.
Since Jupiter represented the King, Venuswho was often called by Gentiles like the Magi Queen of Heaven--must have represented Yshuas mother, Maryam. It signaled the family was coming home soon
Post Nativity Signs
96
But then we get another glimpse into Yshuas far future. On Tishri1-4, or Sept 7-10, 3 BCE, imagery of Revelation is evoked with a meteor shower (like Wormwood?) in the sign of the Dragon/Draco (haSatan?).
But the next event was amazing: 3 conjunctions of Jupiter and the star Regulus drawing a crown, on Sept 14, 3 BCE, Feb 15 & May 6 in 2 BCE.
Post Nativity Signs
97
So, over a period of almost 8 months, the planet Jupiter has crown drawn around it by the star Regulus.
Regulus, as it turns out, also means king in Latin, so the Kings Planet has a crown made for it by the Kings Star! The event is so rare and beautiful that some call it the Star of Bethlehem. Take a look...

The problem of course, as we saw earlier, is that the Nativity could not have happened in 2 BCE because Herod died in 4 BCE.

Also the Magi could not have used this sign walking from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. It was in the East, Southern, and Western sky over the span of a yearnot likely to guide them as they were moving south, and Regulus is a fixed starso even if they noticed this from Babylon, it wouldnt lead them to the baby!
