Why the public event?

Public sectors organize a lot of event for citizens and Industries.

We want to promote the event information to the target participants.

Most of Government web sites have event page.

What is the public event?

Policymaking events

• Meetings in governments and municipalities

Policy promotion events

• Government-sponsored seminars and conventions

• Nominal event

• List of private sector events for policy promotion

• Agricultural experience, factory tour, etc.

Community-building events

• Event in municipalities

• Music Events, Sports Events, Festivals

Disaster Response activities

• Activities related to the food supply, water supply, and medical assistance4

Disaster Response Activities

There are a lot of disasters in Japan.Most of the citizens need information about the activities to

support their life after a disaster.The website of the municipality may not be able to provide information.Citizens can only use thin lines and smartphones.

We should use simple information.

We established a data law in December 2017.

We are encouraging municipalities to publish 14 datasets as open data.

Public event vocabulary is one of the most important dataset.

Before the vocabulary, MEXT provided program information by PDF(6 data items). And the data format didn’t have enough data items. Citizen wants to make their customized program.MEXT & CAS remake the data format by using IMI (38 data items).
