NSS Regular activities 2013-14

Date Event Description

07/10/2013 Rally Rally were organized with objectives of social awareness among people under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Yamunanagar, Pune. On 07/10/2013. Total 118 students were participated.

05/09/2013 Police mitra training

Police Mitra Training were organized on the occasion of Ganpati Festival under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Moraya Mangal Karyalaya, Near Aditya Birla Hospital, Chinchwad, Pune on 05/09/2013. Total 70 students were participated. Discipline and peaceful Enviroment were Maintained in Ganesh Festival by NSS students.

24/09/2013 Poster presentation

Poster presentation competition was organized on the occasion of NSS day. Under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Modern College Of Pharmacy Nigdi, Pune-44 on 24 /09/2013. Total 36 students were participated. Students were learned social awareness about global warming, banned drugs, presence of

pharmacist in medicals, road safety, traffic control.

15/10/2013 Street play Street Play were organized on the occasion of Road Safety Abhiyan under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Bhel Chowk, Nigdi Pradhikaran Pune on15/10/2013. Total 59 student were participated.

15/10/2013 Balgram visit

Balgram Visit were organized by National Service Scheme (NSS) dept at Nachiket Balgram Near gurudvara akurdi Railway Station Pune on 15/10/2013 Total 61 student were participated. Children’s were Satisfied and Learned About the Social service as well as discipline of life.

20/11/2013 to 26/11/2013

NSS camp 7 days residential NSS special camp were organized on the occasion of Social Service under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Shardashram ashram school Shirgaon tal Maval Dist Pune on 20/11/2013 to 26/11/2013 Total 89 student were participated and different activities were performed.

01/12/2013 Red ribbon club

Red ribbon club activities were organized on the occasion of Social Awareness on Healthy youth for healthy india. Under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Modern College Of Pharmacy Nigdi, Pune-44 on 01/12/2013. Total 22 members were in that club.

03/12/2013 Blood donation camp

Blood donation camp was organized on the occasion of international AIDS awareness week under National Service Scheme (NSS) at Modern College of Pharmacy, Nigdi, Pune. Total 130 students were participated and 79 students were blood donated.

Report of Special Winter Camp 2013- 2014

Special Winter Camp of NSS for the year 2013- 2014 was arranged at Shirgaon, Tal.

Maval, Dist. Pune for period of 20th Dec. 2013 to 26th Dec. 2013 ( 07 days)

Detail Report:

Modern College of Pharmacy, Yamunanagar, Nigdi has arranged special winter camp of

NSS volunteers theme was 'Healthy Youth for Healthy India'.

Objectives:

1) To observe rural lifestyle, & to experience it.

2) To increase the awareness of water literacy, disaster management & to promote

participation of youth in it.

3) To increase the awareness of valuation of shramadan.

4) To increase the awareness of health related problems

Projects were implemented in two parts- 7:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

FIRST DAY: 20/11/2013

All students reached to Shirgaon on 19 nov 2013 at 6.00 pm evening.

Opening Ceremony:

Opening ceremony of special camp was done on 20 Nov. 2013 at 9:30 am at shardashram

primary school shirgaon with delivered lecture by Dr. P. N. Shelke co-ordinator NSS University of

Pune

Following activities were carried out from 7.30 am to 05.30 pm.

Blood group determination, Hemoglobin determination, Blood pressure measurement,

height, weight measurement etc. for students of Z. P. Primari Marathi School Kanhegaon by

N. N. S Volunteers, details of reports are as follows

Following activities were carried out

Plantation at shardashram school shirgaon, cleaning of plant surrounded area at Z. P.

At 5 pm valedictory function was started with culture activity SHIVAJI MAHARAJ

JIVAN CHARITRA POWADA By Shahir Mahila Pathak Nigdi Pradhikaran

Motivatied by Shivshahir Annasaheb Bhishnurkar for NSS Volunteers and villegers,

culture activity was managed by Prof Amit Tapkir.

Prof. V. V. Chopade NSS Programme officer had reviewed the projects completed by

volunteers from 15 Oct 2011 to 21 Oct 2011.

Prof Sunil Kandalkar area NSS Coordinator University of Pune has visited to Special

camp he has guided and motivated to NSS volunteers and vellegers & in his speech he

added thanks to all. Dr. P. D. Chaudhari Principal Modern college of pharmacy Nigdi has

deliver his motivational speech for NSS volunteers, Prof Upendra Galgatte Ex Programme

offecer was visited to special camp he discussed his thought with NSS volunteers, Mr.

Krantilal Kalokhe Sarapanch, Mrs. Ratnamala karendekar Ex sarpanch Dehugaon, Mr.

Vishal Bogkhe, Upasarpanch Dehugaon, Mr Arjun Gudsurkar rural development officer

and other villegers has given feedback of NSS volunteers.

Prof V. V. Chopade, Programme Officer expressed the vote of thanks to all villagers

and University of Pune. We conclude special camp by national anthem.
