Programmes (TEPs), including B.Ed. & M.Ed. The curriculum for B.Ed. & M.Ed. was modified and their duration was

changed from one to two years. All teacher education institutions have to comply with norms and standards related to

these 15 programmes with effect from the academic session starting 2015 as these are mandatory. The government has

now declared that, from July 2020 onwards, another programme with the name of Four-year Integrated Teacher Education

Meanwhile, NCTE, in its 25th year of establishment starting from August 17, 2019, is organizing year round

all matters concerning Teacher Education, NCTE has traversed a long and challenging path and the Silver Jubilee

Celebrations are offering an opportunity to reflect upon its journey so far and to plan for the future. This initiative of

NCTE aims to provide platforms for deliberations on current and future challenges and prospects of Indian Teacher
