Phase 1: Feasibility study Up to $90,000 6-month award
Phase 2: R&D activities Up to $300,000 2-year award May require prototype creation and testing Commercialization plan required
Phase 3: Commercialization phase Use of non-SBIR funds

1. Regular (R) subtopics addressing NIST R&D needs
2. Technology transfer (TT) subtopics identify commercially promising NIST technologies and gaps that delay commercialization
